Isn't the diagnosis up to the doctor(s)? Who is "coding" it? Aren't there medical ethical implications of telling someone they have covid-19 when they don't have it or if it is unkown? That's in addition to the financial fraud. WTF.

There's no gain for Trump to fire him, he's not an obstacle causing Trump any harm. Firing him only gives Trump's enemies ammo.
The president makes the call on what to do with the advice he is given. Fauci and Birx both have the appearance of neutrality or even opposing trumps instincts. it's not always a bad thing to show you can listen to opposing arguments before arriving at the correct (Trump) decision.
