Exactly! Also, we’re basing this mainly on cases that have been discovered via testing that has been done mostly on those sick enough to seek care, meaning we’re missing (and therefore leaving out of the denominator) all the people that have it and aren’t having serious symptoms! If we had actual numbers of those infected, I think the mortality rate would be much lower. The only question is, what’s the hospitalization rate? Someone might not die, but still require hospitalization and if that number is high, it definitely could still overwhelm the system. I’m just at a loss at how much devastating economic damage we have incurred for presumptions/assumptions and no indication of taking into account variables when comparing countries and why perhaps mortality rates differ so greatly!

I sound like a parrot, but my mom’s co-worker 100% had COVID-19 back in December-extreme fatigue, sob walking from one room to another, horrible headaches. Went to several doctors-multiple tests: MRI, holter monitor, influenza swabs—all negative! All this to say, I think this has been running through the US population, in my opinion, for months now and yet, the hospitals have not been “overwhelmed” in most places. As more people are tested, it’s pushing the mortality rate lower & lower. I don’t doubt it’s serious, but I don’t think it’s “put us in a voluntary depression” bad because we have to all quarantine.

Also, a lot of us have probably had it and didn’t know! 100% positive the mystery illness my mom’s co-worker had around Christmas was COVID-19. Symptoms exactly like it and no doctor could figure it out (negative for the usual suspects, like influenza).

Then they enact negative interest To force your money into circulation because you’d literally lose money if you keep it in the bank and since it’s electronic, you can’t just withdraw it and put it in a safe in your house.

Agree! Someone my mom works with 100% had it around Christmas. This individual had classic symptoms and she had a multitude of tests & her symptoms couldn’t be explained. Biggest kicker, this persons child was in work meetings in the weeks prior with individuals from China!

I live in a “racist, redneck, uneducated” red state and I happily ate Chinese food from a local Chinese family yesterday. Maybe they see so much “racism” mostly because it’s invented, but also due to their fellow racist Democrats.

Glad to wake up to this! I told my husband, right before I went to sleep, that I’d rather buy a cow and chickens and start living off the land Pioneer style than see Nancy’s trash bill pass!

K, well then they can fucking forgive $30,000 of my mortgage since I worked hard to pay off my student loan.

I’m fine with pausing payments & interest, but the loans better not be forgiven!

Yes, and not just caring for them now, but the burden they’ve put on our healthcare system for many years because most don’t have insurance (and hospitals are required to get interpreters that cost the hospital a lot of money) and just in general, the money spent on people by our government that are more of a drain than actually contributing to the overall good of the country. I see parents at my kids’ school that can’t speak enough English to figure out how to sign their kids out properly from the after school program when I’m picking up my kids. How do you function when you can’t understand “What is your child’s name and grade?” or “please sign your name and date & time.” ?

I did a couple days ago. I was reading on r/nursing (I’m a nurse) and the “this is capitalism for ya”

“We’re witnessing late stage capitalism”

“Hope this opens people’s eyes to the need for universal healthcare”

Comments enraged me and I immediately deleted my account and my app. It’s a fucking echo chamber of commies and spoilt children that know absolutely jack shit. It in no way encompasses a balance of the views of all people and is worthless.

WTF does this even mean? There are “granny panty” and “boy short” styles that you can buy at walmart that are white, black, tan...how more simple can you get!? Fuck, these people are fucking whiney ass psychotic fucks!

I’m not crazy about it because I’m terrified we’re teetering on a cliff of insurmountable debt, but I pay a shit ton of taxes using money I WORK FOR, so I’m just getting my money back in theory.

There’s a lot of people losing “possessions” or at risk of losing “possessions,” so maybe these asswipes should give some of their “possessions” to those in need!? Nah, they don’t ACTUALLY mean what they say (at least it doesn’t apply to them, just the rest of us).

The fact that the DOJ dropped the case is great proof it was all BS.

I wish we could use this to overhaul government spending and get rid of all the ridiculous BS that money is spent on! I of course want my fellow citizens helped, but I’m legit very anxious of some of the measures being taken & the possibility of moving over a tipping point of debt, of which we can never recover 😞. For every billion used in the stimulus, a billion should be taken away, from things like research on shrimp walking on treadmills. Seriously, it would boggle the mind to know some of the shit our government spends our money on!

By my FB feed and the empty shelves in all the grocery store, I would say a large number of people are.

I’ve been to a walmart & a walgreen’s & my husband went to a different walmart (all on separate days over the last week) to get various things WE ACTUALLY NEEDED (I have not bought any TP, hand sanitizer, cleaning products, ect. because we already have, what I felt, was enough) and seeing the shelves empty just annoys the F outta me for some reason. It makes me think of MSM fanning the flames of panic and selfish ignorant people acting like fucking greedy assholes!

I’ve received similar emails from no less than a dozen retailers! Enough already!

His show seems to be ever increasingly hyperbolic and dare I say “click baity.” What’s going on? It’s a noticeable change. He did a segment that related to my state and I was all enraged & then come to find out, it was exaggerated. Disappointing.

Edit to add: I’ll still watch because it’s better than the alternative, but I wish he’d dial down the panic a few levels!

Take turns staying home, maybe look into short term disability, a lot of colleges are doing online classes only now-maybe a college kid could babysit, if daycare centers are closing, maybe a worker from one of them would watch them, maybe other friends with children would do a group share of watching the kids so everyone can alternate staying home from work.

Hopefully in a week or 2 when I really need to do my major grocery shopping, the stores will be restocked and no one will be there because they already have a year supply of everything!
