Is that any book? Lately, I have observed he does shady stuff to increase his viewership, like setting podcast episode title to something intriguing and then not addressing it at all. I stopped paying attention to him when I noticed this behavior. Otherwise it was he who introduced me to the President Trump during 2016 campaign.

Being conservative does not automatically make them US allies. Every nation seeks and strives for economic growth and prosperity. They form alliances for their mutual benefits. So two countries can share some ideologies or history, but this might not result in a coalition in times of conflict.
Finally, being conservative is mostly common sense. If Chinese are anti-liberal crap, then this means they have smart people at the helms of the affair.
The US elected Trump. This event threw a spanner in their works. They never expected this humiliating defeat. They thought they had it all figured out, and every branch of the government is under their thumb. But the election 2016 went south for them.
Since then, they have not recovered. The left is now like a comic villain who keeps making all the classic mistakes and audiences is left wondering why the villain is not using their brain cells.
Another aspect is that their demographic is young, who was never taught the virtue of patience.
On top of it, there is an arrogance inherent in the left mindset, which makes them look down on the conservative values. Hubris hoodwinks you and clouds your judgement.
That said, it could be part of a plan. They might rig the election and then present these protests and surveys as evidence of Trump's unpopularity.
