Fair point, social media encourages people spying on each other, the mother of all big brother. I dont necessarily dislike apple hardware or their designs. Pretty nice. Cant stand iOS or any mobile OS on a work laptop and def not a desktop. My desktop knocks the shit out of a mac, at least for it's time. Also nice that I can replace the parts with more kickass performance without buying the whole package again. For folks that dont want or need to tinker or dont need the processing power and for those that have an affinity for iOS then they pay the premium for it. iPads and iPhones are top notch as well, built for their purpose. Although iphone 6 can suck a fat dick.
That new M processor of theirs with integrated gpu is pretty beastly for such a small package. Once again, they pay for the node advantage so it's going to be better than most anything like it.
I think OP simplified too much. The processors are top of the line latest nodes that Apple pays handsomely for, one reason why they're expensive. However, get into the mac's and the pro laptops and you can easily build or buy a better PC for less.
