Your radio (according to the specs online) has a BNC connector for the antenna. Most mobile and base station CB antennas have a PL 259 connector. You'll need a Pl 259 to BNC adapter.
Depending upon where you live, manufacturing your own firearm, for your use, is perfectly legal. Some states and localities (I'm looking at you, Kalifornia) have laws and restrictions, but there is no Federal law against building a gun. A lot of people build their own rifles and handguns. There are even CAD files out there that you can download. Virginia is a volatile place to be regarding firearms right now. Check your local laws closely and keep abreast of current events happening right now in your state.
A sawed off shotgun is a felony. A shotgun shorter than 28" overall or with a barrel less than 18" cannot be legally possessed without a tax stamp from the ATF. The stamp costs $200.00 and takes about 6 months to obtain. A pistol, however, has no restrictions on barrel length. The fact that it shoots .45 Long Colt as well as .410 Ga. is a bonus. If you wanted to build a pistol that fired 12Ga. it's perfectly legal as long as it meets the legal definition of a pistol in the eyes of the ATF. The same applies to rifles. The minimum barrel length for a rifle is 16". If you build a pistol in the same caliber, the barrel can be as short as you want it to be.

Choking out the Cartels is a pipe dream (no pun intended). While they still make a goodly amount of cash from weed, they have diversified. Meth, heroin, human trafficking, money laundering, and a shitload of other illegal enterprises are there to fill the void. More meth is made in Mexico now than was EVER made in trailer parks by toothless rednecks. Here on the border a pound of weed is cheap. Economics of scale make it far more profitable for the same mules to hump a backpack full of meth than a backpack full of weed. An SUV stuffed with weed might be worth 100K. That same SUV stuffed with meth or fentanyl is worth millions.
