The states that flipped the election by cheating have Republican majority legislatures so it is possible that the legislatures will take back control of state elections and prevent cheating in future elections by ending mail in ballots and enforcing independent observer rules, fixing issues with the machines etc. (hopium disclaimer: I'm not saying it will happen, just that it is possible.)

With the police you have to look at each force independently. The police in my town are good, last spring they successfully defended our mall against a gang planning to loot there. I walk around outside without a mask all the time which is against our state regulations and the police never bother me. But I understand in some towns the police are corrupt. And I believe the FBI is pretty bad. There are politically and ideologically motivated investigations all the time not just against Trump. I don't believe there are many "good people" there when their pensions are at stake.

I generally support the US military because they make great sacrifices to defend the rest of us, but in this case they are not defending the constitution, they are defending a violation of it.

Okay but when you hate you are the one who feels it. Do you like living with that feeling all the time? You can make decisions using reason and compassion without those unpleasant emotions clouding your judgement and you will be a lot happier.

I get why people hate hopium but I like playing with theories even if I don't necessarily believe them.

So just for amusement, suppose they knew Trump was really the president and was planning to resume office in a few weeks, it could explain why they want to impeach him after he supposedly left office.
