Explain away frens

There is so much content on TDW now that as I scroll down from the front page, I use the "hide" function below each post after viewing and upvoting the streamable video clip etc. if I do not wish to go to a post on it's own page and read or contribute to its comments.

This ensures I see more and more posts, without having to scroll past content I have already viewed.

As it is now- at least on the firefox mobile I use to view- if I click the "hide" option while the streamable clips are still playing, they continue playing in the background, with audio, and with no way to turn them off except by refreshing or leaving the page, meaning you lose track of where you had scrolled down to.

The odds aren't as good as 2016, but 2.75/1 in a two-horse race, when we all know how dishonest they're being with the polls, is a great opportunity. Celebrate twice as hard when Our Boy brings it home.

All because of The Great Man

It is surreal how the more support Trump gets, the more they try push the "dIvIsIVe!!!" bullshit.

(And, of course, this is no time to be complacent, and I am not suggesting otherwise. Just that even with ballot fraud, the fascist-left are in for a rude surprise come election day)

We have the best site, don't we folks? Every attack just shows how scared they are of us and our magnificent GEOTUS.

God bless us. Everyone.

So the Aussie equivalent of US tv's "Emmys" is called "The Logies". Each year they give out something called a "Gold Logie" to someone voted (by viewers online and via post) as the most "popular personality".

It has always been a "big" thing here, though, like all "elections" held by liberal-types, easily manipulated.

The winner is always a huge network star. They get celebrated and fussed over, it was (well, before this anyway) always considered a golden ticket.

So this guy Tom Gleeson was a house comedian on our national, taxpayer-funded broadcaster, ABC (your NPR). He was ok, but still a bit of a cautious pet, knowing who paid his bills.

So anyway, he starts openly campaigning for the Gold Logie/biggest star on Aussie TV, despite his segment only running 3 minutes per week.

Against all odds, he won. He pissed off all the network show pony's in the audience, and completely ruined the "awards" forever; it was fucking glorious.

Here's his acceptance speech:

bonus clip- his opening monologue before anyone knew the outcome:

As an Australian, I loathe our marxist broadcaster more than pretty-much everything, but here's his quiz-show, which is good:

Here's his 3-minute chat segments taking the piss:

It's amazing how mild you need to be to pass as "subversive" these days, but better some than fuck all.

It gives me a few minutes away from this magnificent 24/7 MAGA party.

Without your efforts I'd get fuck-all done haha

Fuck tried to like it- WW2 submarine cat-and-mouse and all- the CGI/"special effects" are the worst I've seen post-1994's Jurassic Park, approx 317 cgi shots of the bow of his ship crashing into stormy seas.

The Enemy Below from, what, the 50's, was better.

It's so woke it's literally got it's only African-American character buttoned up in a white tuxedo worrying about how good he can serve Massa's ham-and-eggs... I can't even bring myself to finish it, it's so ordinary, but I presume that is just the set-up for that character to save the Hanks' Captain at some stage, and in doing so, save not only that fleet but the Allies themselves.

Any merit or no?

Was only a few weeks ago when, if you needed to revisit a good post for use in educating the fascist fillth on reddit, you could simply come back and scroll down a few pages and find it.

Now there is such a tsunami of quality shit pouring in every minute of every day, if you don't use the handy "save" feature provided by our thoughtful mods, you haven't got a hope in hell of re-locating something you looked at even a few hours earlier.

Oh, and just btw, can anyone point me to that post/pic of a woman wearing an enclosed, half-body, transparent covid-barrier? It was only hours ago I saw it and 20 pages of scrolling has got me nothing...

Not familiar with how to accurately do this myself:

I have been active on reddit for near a decade or so now, and primarily use it in it's current, massively-deteriorated state to challenge and troll Fascist-Left orthodoxies, media narratives and their proponents.

Earlier this year I began noticing how the term "bootlicker" sprang up from near-obscurity basically overnight, to being used by ypur garden-variety basic reddit commenters extensively, in comment after comment within each blm/protest/acab-type post.

We all know it is not a new word, but I think it very interesting how it seemed to be astro-turphed and vaulted back into common-use, and am in no doubt it was forced/pushed onto the left-wing sheep almost overnight.

It did not seem to be used at all on reddit protest/blm/acab-type posts in the past, just this years. It also interests me as to who forced, pushed and promoted the massive re-use and up-take of this epithet, one previously used certainly by UK lefty-types, but comparitively sparingly. It did not just suddenly and organically re-emerge, I am certain of that much.

Hope this post isn't too vague- I just find it massively interesting when viewed from a linguistics perspective.
