If the Democrats manage to steal the election, they can use the Electoral College process to put Harris in the Oval and dump Joe. One of the purposes of the EC is to keep senile candidates away the Oval office.
It shouldn't come to this.
Socialism promises those that don't have enough, more. It fails because there's no way to pay for it at large scale. It fails because those hearing the promises haven't gotten the skills yet to make that evaluation and realize it's a Ponzi scheme.
If I was 30, was married, had a job, large student loan and a new baby and Bernie comes along and offers me money, I'd be interested.
Studies on social movements suggest they may be more socialization than about the idea. People join whatever group because they like the people in the group more than they dislike their ideas. The "leadership" of such groups need to hang onto to their followers to maintain their power.
The cure is alternative groups that are "cooler" with different ideas. Let a kid do something 'cool' and they change who they want to hang with.
Added for completeness:
The film "11/8/16 One Year Later" is the one year follow up by the original filmmaker with some of the same people. Runtime 14m, released in 2017. Available on Youtube for free. Some of those interviewed were happy with Trump, but not so much at his tweeting style and lack of polish. One was glad that Trump was going to repeal Obama care because of the cost to them. The Snowflake is a classic snowflake, and the socialist clown continued to disagree that America was ever a good thing. Good quote: "The Schumer and Pelosi Democrats are the type we need to get rid of" The sequel may be more balanced. It can stand alone, but it might be better to see the original movie first.
Patrick McManus had a great column. In one, he described the importance of owning more than one gun [or fishing rod, tools in the garage, etc].
The gist of it was to get the spouse past 'your gun' or 'your rifle and shotgun' into "all those guns"
At that point, it was easy to add one to the vast collection and it wouldn't be noticed.
Ya gotta let the flooring go. Put the gun on layaway.
Democrats say the Darnedest Things: Hillary Clinton
Sanders is to blame for my loss, along with Obama and Biden. They never really supported me because I'm a woman. They're all deplorables, just like every registered Republican in America.
(Take personal responsibility much, Hillary?)
How many of these need to get fired for Zuck to bail his hindquarters out of the fire?
The amounts of their actual contracts has probably been in the 'news'
Or does Zuck just call his friend Killary and arrange for a .... tragedy. (Cause it won't be an accident and won't be a loss.)
What was irritating about her at the 3rd debate was her mask matched her dress.
Masks are supposed to be temporary measure, not a friggin' fashion statement.
Of course, she's married to Hidin' and he's made no bones about his ideas for fashion 2021.
This was the moonbat that introduced the George state Bill requiring "Males who want viagra have to get their spouses permission" and a bunch of other crazy stuff. It was a PR stunt, because the legislation was going no where and she knew it.
It's not a flush.
Trump can use a popular vote victory to STFU the not-my-president people after his victory.
In NY, it's winner take all. NYC is a big part, but not the only part of NY.
Remember what Reagan did to Mondale? It can happen again.
An election is a huge amount of data and paperwork anyway.
All that's needed in one of the 7 states, is a USPS-type letter tray with the ballots held there until counting. One tray for a letter range, A-F, G-N, O-Z, etc. If A-F get filled, split it into A-C, D-F.. There have been pictures of this used on the 'news' sites to illustrate mail-in voting.
The state this post is coming from is not one where you can pull your ballot, but when you early vote here, your ballot is folded, it goes into an envelope which has your name and barcode on it. and it dropped into a large box for later processing with the rest of the early and mail-in ballots. Around here, they are fed-in on election day during lulls, so all ballots are run through at the end of the day. Each polling state can have poll monitors from both parties, and there is a police officer in the area.
Misunderstanding.
No one in elections records what your vote is, your vote is counted without your name.
The ballot is in an envelope and is separated. If you change your vote, the entire envelope would be disregarded.
Footnote: With enough information, campaigns and parties can predict who you will vote for. Who you donated to, what party you are registered in and so forth. Each party is carrying about a thousand pieces of information on each adult.
A good place to start is to get an appointment to one of your local government boards. They are usually in need of good people. In smaller cities it's probably non-partisan, and you don't have to wait for an election.
It gets you exposure to government processes and procedures and it exposes you the local government on both sides of the aisle. When you decide to move up, you have a small base of support you can grow.
Downside: It takes a little time and energy and if you are considered to be a public employee you may have some additional state ethnics and election finance rules to follow with regard to fund raising. Ya know, the stuff that Biden and Hillary get to ignore, but this can be true if you achieve elected office.
South Park takes no prisoners on any side.
Their contract gives them artistic freedom and the only time they agreed to change content was over the Mohammed thing, because Viacom said they really didn't want to get blown up.
The Character of "Chef" was written out because the VO actor performing the role had no problem when SP made fun of every other religion, until they came for his. Then he got up tight. The SP creators dumped him for his hypocrisy.
Take no prisoners means you're going to get a dig at your side too. This is a better approach than a fake fairness.
Stan's Speech, "I just want my life back", at the end of S24E1 was a fair representation of what a lot of people are feeling right now.
Trump may have made this error on purpose to get 'corrected'
A few dolts that know it was only "83,000" are going to open up their mouth. "It was 83, not 183". It's like telling the officer you were doing 75 in a 35, not 90 or AntiFA is only an idea.
Go a little easy on the Vitamin D.
Vitamin D is made by your body in the presence of sunlight, it is oil soluble, and is stored by your liver. Take too much of it and you can hurt yourself or in extreme cases, die. Take a little too much of a water soluble vitamin and your body will get rid of it. Oil soluble ones, not so much.
Don't take medical advice from the Internet. Talk to your doctor and they can run a blood test and let you know how much, if any extra "D" you need.
If you are reasonably healthy, If you aren't hiding in your basement like a certain candidate, if you are out outside holding Trump signs or knocking on doors or working for a living, you probably get enough sunlight for your body to make the Vitamin D.
Nuclear is #1. Political hot air is #2, but the technology is still developing as to how to tap into this seemingly unlimited resource and to deal with the side effects.
