The American Health Care Act (AHCA) was one of the Republican's Health care plans. One of it's nicknames was TrumpCare. This was 3 year ago.
There were others, and this is not a debate on the plan, only that the AHCA existed to replace the ACA.
If you need to, you can wander over to Wikipedia an get an image of the Human circulatory system.
See then big 'tubes' running from the hip to your knee? Puncture one of those with a bullet and you bleed out quick.
Miss the blood vessels and hit the femur bone then fall down or otherwise move, and you have a sharp object moving around in the vicinity of those two blood vessels and if it cuts them, you bleed out quick.
Bleeding out quick is not a good way to stay alive.
This isn't Hollywood.
On the next episode of "Joe Don't Know", we'll chat about 'shoot them in the shoulder' and how effective a hole in the Subclavian artery is at bleeding you out.
To anyone watching the recorded versions of the Trump townhall, how is the audio? It was wretched during the live event with reports from viewers of all types.
Only one news source this morning has discussed the audio problems so far. They blamed an equipment failure that was fixed around 10:30pm that night.
Funny thing: the microphone the audience used didn't seem to be as impacted with bad audio as Trump and his debate opponent from NBC.
It's hard to believe they would not have done a sound check before.
Maybe the equipment failed at 8pm sharp and maybe Secret Service procedures didn't allow for an unknown tech to go to the stage and swap or adjust the equipment during the first commercial break but that's a lot of maybes. If the SS was jamming radio around the area for to protect POTUS, the audiences microphone should have been screwy.
Outdoor recording problems? I call shenanigans on this. Trump had a lavaliere microphone and it's easier to avoid echo outdoors than when with walls around you. You do have problems with stray noises but that is why the microphone is inches from the speaker's mouth. Hundreds of reporters daily report from outside.
The audio issue could have not been NBC corporate deliberate, it could have been a rogue audio technician twisted a dial then ran for it. But it was too bad for too long to be an accident and so obvious NBC would have had to have said something.
From Scott Adams today.
Posting on twitter, subject matter that was not tagged in the past, would indicate where twitter is with censorship now.
The Fine People Hoax rebuttal is probably a classic. Voter Fraud may be on the line. Post carefully. Project Veritas was having some issues recently, with tags, but I think this was Instagram.
Other issues?
Countries that implemented socialism have always destroyed their economy and their citizens.
Socialism promotes the wrong behaviors and can't sustain economical growth.
The argument, "Socialism Bad", won't get you far with anyone who considers it. Some examples that are more moderate.
Russia experimented for several decades before enough was enough and have joined the world. They challenge the US like other countries, but we are partners in the International Space Station, which we are not with the next country:
China is mostly socialist internally, but capitalist when dealing with the world - if they were a company that ran mostly on slave labor. The successful parts of China are capitalist and now that they have allowed for ownership of homes as private properties they are getting a middle class.
North Korea is behaving like that awkward middle school kid who wants to join in, but doesn't know how to ask. Potential to join the world is on the rise, as long as Trump is in office. If you want to do the research, Kim Jong-un was educated in the west, but his predecessors it was China and Russia.
Cuba is low level functioning, post Fidel. Maybe they'll be able to join the world.
All these countries have a past history of their governments killing their opponents just for being opponents. The US has never had this as a policy. Individual behavior of a countries citizens are not government policy.
Pro-socialists, like advocates of other systems, are blind to their downsides of their system and only see the upside. The above countries are examples of how socialism works in the real world.
Capitalism isn't perfect, but why did Russia & China move towards it?
Keith Olbermann. Twitter. Facebook. The FPH. I could go on.
Democrats will squeal "I'm moving to New Zealand if Trump wins" then stay here anyway.
Republicans will accept the results of a legal election, not like it, then go nose to the stone to win the next one.
But not this year.
Republicans don't just want to win this year. Republicans HAVE to win this year. Otherwise they will be the first up against the wall. It's not even a metaphor.
Let twitter and facebook censor house.gov.

Emoji's are created by an organization who writes the standard then leaves it for Apple, Google (Android) and such to implement.
There is an Elephant Emoji in the standard and implemented by Apple and Android. Has been for a while.
There is no Donkey.
Some apps and platforms do have non-standard add-on emojis and you can always send a gif.
Rot13 is a simple cipher, often used around the Internet to cover the punch line of a joke or a spoiler. It moves letters around enough where they can't be read at first glance.
You may have a program with rot13 support built in, but if not, https://rot13.com/ to get in and out of rot13. rot13 is more work on both ends.
Facebook, Twitter and the rest, may block tweets, so maybe try rot13 to get things past them for a while. If it catches on, they'll catch up, but not immediately.
Link shortening services may be worth a shot, but a lot of sites decode the real URL, mostly because besides their principle use, they are used for illicit purposes. Might be worth a shot, but might get blocked quick but there may be a work around.
Use the search engines against themselves. A search for the article title and web site will bring the article up: "Facebook censors The Post to help Joe Biden's 2020 campaign" site:nypost.com
Coughs up the article and you can use that Google or DDG url. directly, or run that through a URL shortening service.
This search-then-shortening hack is more work for the poster, but easier for the recipient to click.,
Nate Silver and 538 are trying to recreate their '2016 miracle' when they called it for Trump when few others would. This time, they are saying it is Biden.
They seem to base their predictions on polling data, which CW says is crap this cycle,
538 was owned by ESPN (an ABC property) until 2018 when ownership was transferred to ABCNews, a Disney Property. No telling what marching orders Nate has from the bosses this year.
What states they are calling doesn't seem to have moved much since they reported it as a 50-50 race. New polling data for Trump doesn't seem to be making it into the model.
Scott Adams recently pointed out: in the next few weeks, pollsters will have to get closer to the actual election results otherwise give up on their credibility. Their last prediction is the one that is remembered. If 538 blows this election, they may not exist after.
Jeff Thorman is a Canadian who runs a popular Home Renovation channel on youtube. He did a "Safety" video on 9/26/2020 that was more about common sense.
In it, he says: "Let's face it, North America is not built on the back of lazy snowflakes. It was built on the backs of hard-working men and women who sacrificed everything to build this thing "
The video is titled "Renovation Safety Tips for DIY Homeowners". The quote is around 7:20.
Other lines in the same video: "Common sense ain't common", later on he talks about an experience with Canadian socialized medicine.
Overall a good video if you have a half an hour.
Besides Trump and Cristy, there are a lot of individual stories who beat the Wuflu.
Needless to say, the media is focusing on the opposite and fear of CV is an election issue.
Personal stories work better than statistics. Your local youth charity doesn't throw out a balance sheet when asking for money, they throw out a story about an individual kid their program helped.
To reduce fear in someone else is to ask if they know anyone who died from it. Not know of, know. Not got it, got it and died. If they know someone, ask if they know anyone else. If not, ask if the person was otherwise healthy.
The average person knows 100-300 people. Taking the numbers, it should be about 1/2 a person in a 100, less so in young people, more so in older folks who probably know more people anyway.
At some level, they might win a prize in the lottery before they get Corona.
If you know someone who beat the china-flu, could be best to leave it out of the conversation. It's good news, but supports the narrative that OMG PEOPLE ARE GETTING IT!
Talk them through it. Do a good enough job they might lose the mask. Do a great job and they might start to get pissed off at the lock downs. Do a fantastic job and they may join TDW.
Corona Virus isn't fun, but it's almost certain it won't kill you.
I don't know why the Democrats are so upset over ACA being replaced because their own guy wants to get rid of it too.
Trump wants to replace it with something better.
Biden wants to replace it with Bernie-Care. It will require a medicare tax so expensive that you won't be able to afford to keep your current plan and doctor even if your employer can still afford to offer it.
TLDR: 1981 Republican shenanigans in one state hurt all Republicans nationwide for 36 years. One state opened the door for Democrats to be able to practice unilateral nationwide voter fraud for 36 years. Be careful.
What makes this post relevant right now, are the reports of unofficial California voter ballot collection boxes.
In 1981, Republican shenanigans happened in New Jersey. Signs were posted reading: "WARNING," they read. "This area is being patrolled by the National Ballot Security Task Force." At some polls, off-duty Armed Police officers were hired. With other behaviors, the Democrats (DNC) sued the Republicans (RNC) claiming voter suppression.
The result of the suit was the Republican National Committee signing a federal consent decree in 1982 agreeing not to use, and to refrain from deploying armed poll watchers and other restrictions. It was amended later to increase restrictions disallowing Republicans from challenging for voter fraud. It was in effect from 1982 to 2018 when a judge finally did not renew it and let it finally expire after 36 years.
The consent decree limits were on Republicans only. The Democrats were not limited in the same way. If the decree was about fair rules, it should have been binding on both sides.
If you're going to screw around, call legal first. What you do in your state could screw us all. . The case law and discussion can be found as "dnc vs rnc consent-decree". A recent story from 2 years ago when the decree was lifted (By an Obama appointed judge) is @ https://www.investmentwatchblog.com/end-of-1982-consent-decree-gop-finally-can-contest-vote-fraud-after-36-years/
In 3 weeks, if someone goes to vote at a polling location and doesn't wear a mask, can they be stopped from voting?
There is no Federal mandate for masks.
This is a Federal Election. The work is executed locally and state-wide but there are Federal rules. Preventing a voter from voting is at the top of the Federal No-No list.
There are rules saying you can't wear or must cover electioneering materials. Beyond minimal decency, there's no dress code to vote.
(This is a thought experiment. Wear a plain mask if you must and get Trump reelected instead of making a point and turning the Oval over to 2 arrogant liars. If you live in a solidly blue state, Trump still needs your vote to win the popular count.)
The mainstream media has picked up the story that the guy Denver News 9 didn't have the paperwork.
It's time to move the narrative back to the fact that Mathew Dolloff killed Lee Keltner.
News 9 knowingly and voluntarily went in to areas with violent protests, and knowingly and voluntarily had their employee bring a gun.
News 9 hired an armed killer, knowing that there was a chance he'd shoot or kill someone,
The paperwork is no longer important. Maybe the Government or Pinkerton or News 9 shredded it. If so, they'll get caught later.
Since the [un]Affordable Care Act is (ACA) under discussion today, please correct any errors:
Before ACA, if you were one of the few without a health plan, and you went to the ER, they'd treat you, and give you a bill. If you didn't pay it, the Hospital would write it down on their taxes. But you got medical treatment. Most recently, can anyone recall a COVID case where someone was turned away? I think you got put into the quarantine ward before they started checking your paperwork.
Mitt the twit wrote the ACA as governor of Massachusetts then scurried back home before he had to deal with the consequences. Obamacare is plagiarized Romneycare.
Since ACA, (and maybe related, maybe not), smaller hospitals and even non-hospital medical practices have been merging into larger ones. I'd think a billion dollar company can handle more variance than a million dollar one.
Columbus Day has commonly become a celebration of Italian Americans. This year the normal festivals and celebrations were taken away due to the Chinese government's virus.
The Woke are trying to take this from them permanently.
On St. Paddy's day, everyone gets to be Irish. So today we need to stand with those of Italian descent, because woke folk won't.
If needed, the Italian flag is a readily available emojii. There is an Italian pepe image out there. I won't link to the one I found because it's on reddit.
Since Biden has refused to be transparent with the US people, others are starting to to make educated guesses at his SCOTUS list.
Time to ask Biden one at time: "Will Letitia James be your nominee to the supreme court" and continue for each possible candidate.
If he won't tell, make him deny each and every possible candidate, or keep denying to answer which spotlights his lack of transparency.
Unless you are a credentialed reporter, or get lucky enough to get on a town hall, you probably won't get to ask him directly, but you can ask the question on Twitter, Facebook and other social media.
One Link, there are others: https://www.bizpacreview.com/2020/09/19/heres-a-list-of-potential-supreme-court-nominees-if-biden-wins-974481
Go search for the website "Political Party Time"
It's a non-partisan 'daylight is a disinfectant' website that gets content from the masses, although you probably have to be on a special mailing list to get one of these invites.
Fund Raising is a little quiet now, but you can go back earlier in the year as well as monitor 2021 in the future.
You can look at the invites and they aren't shy. $25,000 for a virtual, not even live in person event, $1500 or so for a bagel for an hour of time.
The actual invites are also interesting with regard to who is putting on an even for who. Not all will be represented here, as the invites are crowd-sourced.
Both parties are represented.

Fox News has a story titled: "Accounting worker claims 'Office'-inspired prank got department shut down for 3 hours"
TLDR: Worker put a wireless speaker in the ceiling and played cat meows fooling people into thinking there was a cat in the ceiling and leading to a search.
After the speakers were found and removed, the story states some people believed the cat was still in the ceiling and the speaker was just a story by management to get people to think the problem was solved:
But that's not where it ends: In an update shared shortly after the original post, the employee claims a "conspiracy theory” emerged later that day, with several employees convinced that it wasn’t a prank at all, despite the maintenance workers finding the speaker. Instead, the co-workers believed there really was a live cat still stuck in the ceiling but “management” only claimed it was a prank in order to get people back to work. One person claimed they absolutely heard the cat yesterday,” added the Reddit user, “and… a couple of them claim they still hear it.
https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/accounting-worker-office-inspired-prank-shuts-down-department
It's a story reported out of Reddit -- could be completely made up.
Either way, it's a sad but not surprising testament to gullibility.
Social Networking Advent Calendar for Trump
It's 25 days until Trump is reelected. We may not find out for a few days after, so this calendar goes a little further.
If everyone's social media focuses on one topic for 24 hours, maybe we can punch through the media stonewall. Discussion on TDW will improve talking points. No one here needs to be convinced on any of these topics. This is for persuadable voters.
Suggestions are below. Some are split red/blue states for important issues that may play differently, such as 2A / 5A: Gun rights plays better with some audiences than others. Position in blue states w/o mentioning guns as a 5th amendment right - for the Government to take your property you need due process AND due compensation. Biden will take your stuff has a chance for traction with people who dislike guns, and may convince a few that are soft on gun hating that it's wrong for the government to take any property.
prelude through the 10th: See if this idea and list has traction here, get it finalized.
