Curfew was an excuse to arrest, research, question and detain.

Funny thing though: Case law support the right to be out after curfew to protest the curfew itself under 1st amendment. All pedes had to do was change their signs. (Not a lawyer here.)

Imagine my surprise when everyone fucking left

Trump had posted his 4pm video by then, calling for people to call it a day. With word out from the leader, and last legitimate President of the USA, to cool it, people did.

True, but in this case, code phrases can be enough.

"Father Murphy is in the hospital" is an innocent enough message and can mean something else. If the good Father dies, it means the situation got worse, reverse if he 'gets well'. Obviously do not use the above scenario, make up your own.

Encryption is designed to slow down 3rd parties long enough until the message doesn't matter any more not forever.

#Texit would probably be negotiated and the other 49 states would probably insist that Texas pays a lot of money to secede.

If you want to spend an afternoon, read this Greek tragedy if you want to recognize what may be coming soon, to a government near you.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_government-debt_crisis

Greece had serious financial issues in the recent past. The country has thrashed around since 2007 repeatedly raising taxes , cutting services, causing riots.

Those who were economically well off left Greece. Others couldn't pay their taxes even if they wanted to and Greece defaulted on their loans for the first time.

California and New York seem to be closest to going "full Greek" first.

That's my approach.

NPC's can only be nudged so far in one sitting.

"Dumb things politicians do" is an endless source of material, especially when it impacts the NPC or their family (Biden raising prices on insulin) or "Rules for thee, not for me" like Kamala hugging in a 3-some at the infraudulation last week or Biden without the mask on federal property after he signed his mask mandate disallowing this behavior.

Even those NPC's that hate Trump more than Biden, hate Kamala more than either of those two men. Part of it is Kamala tends to fake smile -- her eyes are not involved when she smiles. With a mask mandate, she's going to have some very creepy looking expressions in the next 100 days. Very memeable materials.

As far as the those around you, people tend to eat their friends last, so be cordial and helpful and you'll do better, disaster or not.

"Catastrophe" was originally the final event of a dramatic work of art, and was used for something more scientific, less emotional. A sudden change.

Now it is used to means sudden disaster.

Learning new skills is something that can't be taken away from you. These skills could be related to an apocalypse but could also have day to day use.

You can prepare for any eventuality this way. If the balloon does go up, you are in a better situation. You won't know everything, but you'll know enough that people will want to keep you around. It may even help in your day job.

As the old joke goes: Don't worry.

You're healthy or you're not.
If you're healthy, don't worry; if not, you're going to live or die.
If you live, don't worry; if you die, you're going to heaven or hell.
If you go to heaven, don't worry; if you go to hell, you'll probably be too busy hanging out with all your friends and won't have the time to worry.

Did you call him a dumb ass.

When someone calls themselves a dumb ass (the Farmer in this case) sometimes the best approach is to be silent for a bit and let them stew in their own thoughts.

The best redpills are those that people create by themselves, for themselves.

In Massachusetts and Maine, The Battle of Bunker Hill is celebrated in June, even though the Colonials lost.

What is celebrated was the inexperienced colonial army could stand up against the number one army in the world.

If the Colonials gave up after Bunker Hill, we'd still be speaking English.

MAGA is that army today.

Use it or walk away because the other side cheated? That is the question.

He [Trump] doesn’t need a Senate seat.

No he does not, but the Patriot Party needs a win,

Trump could deliver it. Even if he stays in the RNC to do it, he can dump Rubio. As a bonus, It will make commie heads explode again. It does nothing to stop him from running for President.

By staying in the fight.

"An enemy, Ender Wiggin," whispered the old man. "I am your enemy, the first one you've ever had who was smarter than you. There is no teacher but the enemy. No one but the enemy will tell you what the enemy is going to do. No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you where he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. I am your enemy from now on. From now on I am your teacher." -- Orson Scott Card, Ender's Game

The Democrats in the 2020 election have taught the Republicans and Independents what to do in 2022 and 2024. They also showed their hands so the Republicans and Independents what to defend against.

It remains to seen if anyone learned their lessons or not.

Hunh?

It's a description of a communications system that routes around censorship.

42
800080 42 points ago +44 / -2

Phone trees predate mass texting where person can blast out 20 batches of 20 texts in a few minutes and keep going, but with cancel culture and censorship, the old ways may be needed.

For this type of communication, use a 'forest' not a single tree.

Summary: Forests use groups of 'trees' and route around censorship and other damage.

If you only have a dozen or so fellow pedes in your phone, that's all they can discover when they seize it. It means you only need to personally vet a small number of people and not have strangers, shills and glowies in your local 'tree.'

The key to a "Forest" is to be a member of 2 or 3 related 'trees' and each tree should have 2 or 3 members who are members of others, and so on.

A 'forest' moves the message a little more slowly, but adds redundancy, eliminates single points of failure including deliberate damage like censorship and adds in some security.

Set up before you need to use it and use for routine messages about once a month or when membership changes over a certain level.

Trees can use their own communication protocol, for example using digital mode radios like APRS, Beartooth or GoTenna. Members in more than one tree can use SMS on one side and something else on the other and act as bridges.

If your group is small enough that the Forest isn't needed and you opt for a single dimensional call tree, where one calls two and the process repeats, the bottom row of the tree should call back to the top, so the top knows the message made it through to the end, and can tell where it dropped based on who didn't call back.

Be a "Democrat."

"You" voted for Biden, but didn't expect him to do X. Be uncertain. As time goes on, become less sure you did the right thing.

Never mention anything from the Election, just after the in-fraud-ulation on the 20th. Man the keyboards for a few months, then you 'found out' Hunter's laptop was real and OMG! how do I become an independent voter.

The sloooowww troll. Might take a few months.

Make them live to the letter of their stated beliefs.

For example, when they use the 'old two-gender' based pronouns, ensure they are called on it. Ensure they call others on it so they make jerks out of themselves.

If the mod team has FBI guns to their heads, no way to every know that.

You might look at the posts of the mod team from the past and today and see if the writing style has changed because someone else is writing it or stress.

The mod team may have had to move fast on this one, before the rogue owner sold off or canceled the other domain out from under it. (Rogue owner may have been getting canceled or threatened IRL and their behavior may not have been what they wanted to do.)

The qualifications for VP and President are the same.

We now know that 'standing', 'laches' and 'moot' won't let anyone get near a court.

Pinocchio was very different as a book before Disney got a hold of it.

In the first book he never learned to stop doing bad things and Pinocchio came to a tragic end.

There is a "Lying Face" Emoji with a long nose. Alternative systems use  It'd be a real shame if this became associated with Lindsey only, and not generically for all politicians.

There have been attempts at legal cases to avoiding paying taxes, but there is a bigger legal case for government to use the threat of force against you if you do not. If you use force to resist this, they will use greater force.

After, the MSM will vilify you and you don't to get to speak your side. Anything you say will be used against you even if the MSM has to twist your words.

The sheep baa: "... your fair share ... everyone has to pay their taxes ... if I have to pay, you have to pay ..." -- no sympathy there.

It stinks.

(Not against taxes per se, but some of the things the government spends money on need to be seriously looked at. )

Just interested. Sounds plausible.

Locally they publish information about the instant tickets and what prizes are still left to be claimed. The hard core players track this and stop buying tickets for games where the larger payouts are already gone.

If they are tracking winners so would have the information to pull games.

Story time:

Local radio station ran a contest that awarded prizes in instant lottery tickets.

It was progressive. Until someone 'won', more tickets were added each week.

When someone finally did 'win', they went down to the station and scratched during the show, around $500-$1500 worth of $5 tickets.

Two takeaways: 1) No one ever won more than the face value of the tickets. 2) The 'winners' tickets were considered 'income' based on the face value of the tickets, not the net value of winnings. (Source: private conversation with someone at the radio station involved in the contest, but you could probably check IRS rules.)

State Lottery payouts are around 45-55% of gross income. But they have a time honored tradition going back to the start of this country when they were used to pay for projects that we use taxes for now.
