UMass Amherst Orders Students to ‘Self Sequester,’ Only Leave Room to Eat and Get Tested
The last move by the Chancellor was to forbid students being outdoors to talk a walk. Prior to that, students who had moved in were quickly changed to online learning only.
“Failure to comply with these directives is a violation of the Code of Student Conduct and will result in disciplinary action, which may include removal from residence halls and/or suspension,” said Subbaswamy.
He started this about a week after the students had moved in. They are not allowed to go their jobs -- The students who are trying to pay their own way through college.
Other schools have their own version of this:
Yale: Violations of these rules will be subject to review and potential discipline.
Baylor University those who fail to comply could have their Wi-Fi disabled, be blacklisted from participating in student organizations, or be suspended.
Boston University students can have their Student ID Card, and Wi-Fi disabled.
University of Illinois students could lose their access to WiFi, as well as access to software used to access and submit class assignments.
Chinese citizens can have their life restricted in similar ways if their social credit score is insufficient. That's not in the story linked below, but from other common sources.

TLDR: More friction to use Cash with banks implementing "Identification to deposit" policies.
Cash with ID
A mid-sized regional bank in the US has implemented a policy in December 2020 where you can still deposit cash to your account but you MUST present id. Your bank ATM / Debit card is suitable id for that bank.
Not certain if this is an implementation of a new Federal regulation or a business practice spreading through the banking business.
In digging into this, there is a report back to December 2018 of a bank requiring ID for cash starting in August 2018.
Other policies are aimed at deposits to accounts not your own.
After March 2021, it will no longer be possible to deposit cash into someone else's accounts, such as putting money in your kids account, unless you hold an account too. If you are a property management company you might collect rents and deposit the cash into the landlords account. This policy makes a little more sense than the no-id-no-cash one. It's about drugs and terrorism and to a lesser extent fraud.
The 2018 report also reported and restricting other deposits. [The article did not name the bank]. Another report has BoA doing this in 2016 for a ~$2000 cash deposit, and requiring a photo id. Chase appears to be have been doing this, possibly as far back as 2014. It's international; Emirates NBD in the UAE now has the same id requirements as do some but not all banks in the UK. The Form 8300 applies to Businesses and Banks. It's also called a "CTR" or Currency Transaction Report." It’s normally filed over $10,000, or multiple lower ‘related’ payments that add up over $5,000.
The CTR started in the 1970's and was updated around the Patriot act. Of note, it doesn't seem the amount was ever indexed this to inflation. If it was, it would be $65,000 not $10,000. This means more transactions are being reported.
Financial "Structuring" is when you try to avoid filing by breaking up payments. If you deposit a total of $10,000 in 24 hours in separate deposits, they file. if you break up the payments to avoid the filing, they will charge you with a crime.

Generally: Below are talking points, not scripts. Scripts are unnatural. If you want a script, scribble one down in notepad before you call. Always get the name of the person you are speaking to. If you call again, you know if you are speaking the same person or someone new. Be polite and firm.
Fully Committed, Partly Committed and uncommitted/unknown Republicans
If they have committed, thank them and get off the line quickly. They need to know they have support for their decision; this is just as important as persuasion as the other side is working hard to get them off their commitment.
If they have publicly committed to an audit but not a challenge, suggest the full challenge is just a small step from the audit, with little downside. Talking points: enough Representatives have committed that they will not be alone. (They are not alone, strength in numbers) If fraud is not addressed now it will be weaponized against them in the future and they may be out of a job no matter how popular they are or how good of a campaign they run. (Make it about them personally, not Trump)
If you don’t know where they are on the issue, you’ll need to find out first, then go as above. Things are changing fast.
Democrats and Mitt Romney Republicans
If they are Republican and have committed hard the wrong way or if they are Democrats, you can try to make the same arguments but you may be talking to a wall. Instead, opt for the quick “I do not support the Congressmen or Senator’s decision to not address the 2020 election issues”. Maybe drop in the “Future Fraud will cost you too.” Get off the line fast so someone else can call and complain. Avoid words that like “Fraud” at this time. You want to be in the concerned citizen folder, not the circular one on the floor. Save it for another time. This is about winning the entire war, not one skirmish with one junior staffer.

After 10am they are expected to be in the Joint Session, and in between they may wander over early. They may be out of contact during the session. If you haven’t made your phone call yet, it may be your last window, or eat breakfast, take a shower and clear potential interruptions so you can focus.

Once you know how your congresscritter actually voted, call, let the staffer know “I just watched the Congressmen vote….” and either thank them or chastise them. By calling immediately after their vote, you are communicating to them you are interested, involved and paying very very close attention to them.
