The baofeng UV-5R is an acceptable entry radio for short-range communications. TIDRADIO TD-F6 is a good one if you've got a few extra bucks to spend on a slightly more powerful model (8W vs 5W), but the baofeng can also be had in an 8W configuration for ~$60.
True, but that's just an excuse. It's neither honest, nor truthful to the cause to make excuses. We are fighting the "mandates" because they are unconstitutional. The only correct response to an unconstitutional order is "No."
False. What you misunderstood, is that leaving was my intent, if they refused me. I would have given a more worthy party my business. The point of the story was - they did NOT refuse me, or even push back at all - despite all of them conforming themselves.
The intention is civil disobedience, and a battle of wills. They push, I decline. They push, I decline. Ad nauseam. However, if a company will absolutely not take my business because I refuse to conform, then I won't give them my money; nor do I want them to have it.
In sharing the story, I hope to instill the feeling that despite feeling alone and outnumbered by the conformists, we are NOT outnumbered and alone in spirit. All we need is the courage to be the first to stand, when everyone else is kneeling.
