Which is only slightly better than the Resident's view that Amendments are not absolute.
Given the Left's propensity for projection, that really changes the interpretation of Creepy Joe saying, "they gonna put y'all back in chains."
While I don't doubt their fearless spirit, I often wonder how they would fight if placed in our current times.
One could argue the Founding Fathers, and the generations before them, did everything to avoid the fight. Many of the people that founded the original colonies didn't leave England because they were happy with that government and its rules. As far they were concerned they were sailing to the far side of the planet to have their freedom. It wasn't until the King gave them no choice, and as far as they knew there was no other unclaimed land to retreat to again. It took hundreds of years but it eventually became fight for your freedom or die a servant of the crown.
We are starting to see the physical separation necessary for another revolution to form. There won't be an active revolution or civil war while the two sides cannot draw battle lines. The blue states started their cold rebellion with sanctuary cities and states. The red states are starting theirs with 2A sanctuaries and refusing vaccine passports. This will continue for years more while people agreeing with those different policies can move their lives to states that align correctly.
When that has mostly completed, then we might see an active revolution or civil war. The only other starting fire I can foresee is Resident Hiden sending Feds into a red state to take guns. He does that and I highly doubt people wait for battle lines to be drawn before real fighting begins.
Yeah that's a trash take on that time.
Britain clearly didn't declare independence and look at how much worse of a shit hole that place has become than the USA. People arrested for mean words online. Old men arrested for harming intruders into their own home. Thought crimes becoming real. Perpetual lockdowns.
King George might, might, not have been as bad as we are now, but as we are now is still far better than England is now.
He better not take the stand. His lawyer would be really fucking stupid to put his ass on the stand. The lawyer has done a pretty good job poking holes in the prosecution's witnesses. Don't give them the chance to return the favor against the defendant.
