Seems like they are selecting a lot of jurors that are going to find "not guilty". Does the DA specifically want riots? I don't think the cop is guilty of any legal definition of murder, and I highly doubt there is any sufficient evidence to show otherwise. I can only conclude these jurors are being selected and these statements leaked so that the DA can point to them say, "It's not MY fault there was no conviction."
The Huffpost union says the 47 cut workers includes 33 union represented one which account for roughly 30% of the union's represented people. In addition to that the entire Huffpost Canada is being closed, another 23 people.
Without additional information I'd say 47 people is a pretty good chunk of the overall company. Or rather I'd say it's a solid start on getting rid of all of them.
