Have them start to learn woodworking, clothworking, metalworking, or hunting. Train them through games, with rewards and prizes based on difficulty and skill, and teaching them how to knot(I sorely wished I knew this growing up since there is just about an unlimited amount of uses so far).

This will help family bonding as well. Fishing, hunting, and Material working would make them independent as they will get older, and will save you, them, and those willing to join along vast amounts of money, time, and heartache.

I have seen families get better doing these when they were starting to break apart(I am not saying it is the sole reason, but it helps a lot) then start to come back together.

And Congrats on canceling the evil that is False information/indoctrination in your home.

She's better off not having to deal with those people. It might actually help that more people are starting to know her now. This has only backfired on them as she is getting more attention, and just getting more and more popular.
