Not a doomer, just thinking. I feel like there was a time where everybody wanted to preserve the system and the integrity of the nation even if it meant your side lost. (This may be a romantic view of the past)
I feel like portion of the population who just want their side to win "by any means necessary" is coming close ot equaling or outweighing the portion that view integrity as the goal.
Republicans belive in the system and most want to find fraud and rule breakers regardless of side. I feel like we ostracize any "republican" who violates the constitution or law. The other side won't.
Sorry if it's a bit rambley, but I'm curious to hear yalls opinions on this and if you think that may be the threshold that does us in.

Hey all. Given the state of things, what do you think the chances are the POTUS announces the Insurrection Act in Kenosha on Tuesday?
Call me crazy, but I think the real goal is less to do with race relations and more to do with economics.
President Trump kept saying all through out the lock downs that the economy would sling shot back. Small businesses make up a major part of the economy, so extending the lock downs caused a bunch to go under. Now add in looting and burning, it puts the ones that were still hanging on out of business. The riots also impact the large retailers who will have to spend money to repair and resupply plus lower demand due to the small business employees being unemployed.
I suspect their goal is the lock downs ending after the riots, we won't see the economic improvement Trump promised, and the media will go back to "Trump could never rebuild the economy. He rode what Obama created."
