Welcome. I think you'll find that most people on this website are supportive and always willing to listen to rant and discuss things afterwards. I feel like most people here aren't fanatical in their devotion to the right or to Trump in particular, but they're just normal people who support president because they feel like he's doing the right thing.
As for digging more into how the media manipulates or lies to us, like someone else said I would start slow. I would also suggest finding independent new sources, commentators or reporters that do you find do a good job of reporting the facts without bias, and start following them.
I like commentator Tim Pool, as even though he's a left-leaning moderate individual his main beef is with media manipulation, so he does a good job of pointing out media bias, tricks, and lies. He has three channels on YouTube and it's pretty easy to find, just search for Tim pool or timcast. You would probably enjoy his podcast where he just hangs out with his friends and talks about whatever is going on. One of his friends is recently redpilled and is fun to listen to
I recently started re-watching the show community and Netflix got rid of an episode where the characters play D&D because one of the characters dresses up as a dark elf or drow and Netflix thinks it's black face.

It's actually illegal in Texas to wear masks and carry a rifle, but of course coronavirus so...
In Texas you can be charged with a crime just for brandishing a gun if the person you're brandishing at feels that their life is threatened, so pointing a rifle at someone is definitely a no no and reason for whoever you're pointing it at to defend themselves.
Also if someone is trying to forcibly enter your shelter (house, car etc) you have cause to defend yourself (according to Texas law)
