I'm in South Dakota. I voted on Friday because I have quite a drive to my polling location, and I was afraid I wouldn't have time with my work schedule and appointments I have today. Of course there is no real danger of sd going blue, but don't want to risk it.

I think they will keep trying, but maybe with more underhanded tactics. They want to end it all, burn it all down, reset... They aren't going to stop.

Are black people not allowed to be farmers? It seems like forcing black people to be farmers would be a bit... Well... It's happened before.

But people do think that this makes sense, and those people vote.

I agree she brought the tough questions, and was a lot more fair. She was still inputting her own arguments, interrupting Trump to much, and giving Biden the last word almost every time. Still a huge improvement and I didn't hate her. Did you see how flattered she looked when Trump told her she was doing a good job? It was almost cute. I wish they had a timer on screen above each candidates head so we could easily see when their time is up, and what round they are on ect.. that would hold the moderator accountable as well as preventing us from 'feeling' like it was unfair even if it wasn't.

And yet, she's still the best moderator of they year... Sad

Also, please remember to check that you are properly registered and your polling place is correct. For some reason this year they changed our polling place and had me and my husband listed at different polling places even though we live in the same house. I had to call to ask about it, and sure enough, they were incorrect and needed to be fixed. If I hadn't called about it, we would have been turned away on election day.

I honestly don't care if marijuana is legalized or not. I do know that it should be a state issue and not a federal one though. (Unless it's coming across the border of course) I'm guessing it's going to pass on SD this year. They've been trying long enough to wear people down on the issue.

Rapid never had a mask mandate, but they closed restaurants and bars and recreational businesses for a couple weeks. No one liked it and Allender convinced city council to reopen after he had a talk with noem. The only business that I've seen that enforces masks in rapid right now is Walmart and Sam's club, and only one of the Walmarts at that.

We had local mandates in South Dakota for a couple weeks. Rapid city being one of them. The mayor even went on cnn bashing Noems hands off policy. Shortly after that interview, he did a press conference detailing how wrong he was and urging the city council to undo the mandates. I think he may have gotten a phone call. We have been wide open since. Even walmart stopped requiring masks now. There schools here are still a mess of arguing about how to handle things though. I think they need a phone call next.

Agree. And also an immune system :) Just so much silliness is all.

Except that people aren't wearing them correctly. Not just wearing them so there are air gaps allowing the particles to spread anyway, but also touching the mask and their face, potentially getting the virus on and under their mask, or on their hands to spread everywhere. Also, something I think is interesting is they are saying that you are at risk after something like 15 minutes of direct contact. Once you touch something and get the virus on your hands/mask, you are now prolonging the time of contact with that virus longer than if you weren't wearing a mask.

I live in South Dakota where we have not had any restrictions from the state at all, but I have a different level of respect for these governors who imposed restrictions and then lift them. They seem to go under a whole different level of scrutiny. Maybe because they obeyed the mobs at first, people think they can bully them back into obeying again?

This is true, and you forgot about the wind lol. But it's still the best state. :)

Texting that number only signs you up to get spam texts from every leftist forever. No one will ever see any texts you send.

I went to church, then worked on building my shed... I wasn't online today, but also not watching football.

One of my ancestors was an Irish slave. He was a prisoner of war in an English prison. When the prisons became full, the English sold them Irish to American plantations. I have had too many arguments with people who insist that he was still an indentured servant. What part of that story sounds like an indentured servant?

Homeschool is the solution. If you can be at home doing this all day, you can homeschool your kids. A first grader doesn't need more than an hour or so of one on one teaching by a parent to teach them more than they would learn all day doing this. Please reach out to your local homeschool groups or find "homeschooling when you have to" group on Facebook for help. Dm me if you have questions.

I looked through his page, and it doesn't look like he's trying to be funny to me. He looks like a complete nut job who isn't compatible with society.

These people are only a distraction. Pawns at best.

Soap and water is all you really need. Over sanitizing things during all this is going to cause major long term problems in people's immune systems.

I had the same feeling, and also thought it was odd that no one looked angry or hateful or otherwise murderous. Also, this happens so often that I generally assume there's more to the story.
