Yea that's why the only subreddits that may still even be viable are very niche and small ones. Everywhere else you just spew out whatever gets you the most upvotes/awards and they try and hijack top comments to get a point across even if unrelated. A lot of times back when I would get a heavily upvoted comment I would read replies that sounded like they had absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

A forum like that would seriously benefit from all comments being sorted by oldest to newest, with no upvote system. Once you introduce upvotes and downvotes, you introduce the possibility of bot manipulation, and you create an echo chamber based on whoever gets the most likes first.

Did he give any reason as to why? When I was back in college trying to find summer work I literally took whatever paid the most. For an opportunity like you stated, I would have been on it in a heartbeat. I haven’t made $10 an hour nor worked at a big box store since I was a junior in high school.

Who the fuck would turn that down especially if they have a kid? Even if you don’t make it your career you will be much more handy around your own home at the end of it all.

They can't be open minded or reason because those two things strictly go against their system of beliefs. Its why they hijacked science are are tainting its name, by basically calling shit settled science and not even allowing you to question it despite the fact that if we never questioned science, people like OP today still wouldn't even be allowed to ride in a car because women's bodies can't handle speeds over 50mph and "the science was settled back then". We would still be thinking the earth is the center of the universe if we never questioned science.

There is absolutely no reasoning with these people and the only way they are ever going to learn is if we either drag them kicking and screaming to the light, or we let their system collapse on itself and cause real hard times for everyone. But something tells me they won't even learn their lesson then, instead have new ideas how to make it work next time.

Likely, I think everyone can see that our federal government is simply too big to represent a country as large and diverse as the USA. Look at stuff that seems as simple as minimum wage, sure in CA you may need $15 an hour to just survive but in many places in the USA you can even be a homeowner on an $8 an hour even in fucking NY. A minimum wage increase to $15 an hour would cause economic collapse everywhere like this.

It is just how out of touch all the politicians and a lot of their voters are with how a good amount of people in this country live. They live in their cities making more than any of those people spending $2,000 a month to rent a 1BR apartment that hasn't been remodeled since 1994 and spend $15 just to get a fast food combo meal and pay $9 per beer at the bar and get mad that they don't make enough. They use their close minded world view and try to pass policy that won't even help them but will decimate communities all across the country. Its insanity at this point.

The only part of that deal that makes any reasonable sense is the investment into bullet trains. As far as our infrastructure goes, that is the one thing I always push for. Flying is faster but think about how much time you waste just dealing with airports.

Plus more people may actually see and start to appreciate the countryside and not just call everything outside of NY and CA a "flyover state".

The McDonalds CEO even said people tend to spend more when ordering via kiosk then at the cashier.

When even a fucking machine is better at upselling cheap burgers than you are, maybe you need to rethink your life.

Lol you think dems like him now? He could have either did something where only half the country hates him, but he chose the things that would ensure the entire country hates him. No Dem is ever going to vote for Pence, considering he was Trumps VP, and now very few republicans will vote for him.

The only way I ever see him holding public office again is if he runs unopposed.

A lot of people seem to be confused about what the national guard really is. They aren't soldiers like in the marines or army or whatever. They most likely work office jobs in the private sector and just have an occasional training.

Whiteness is now just basically a word used to describe anybody who doesn't comply with the narrative.

While suspicious I do not really like this argument. Very few people out there actually voted for Biden because of who he is, they just simply voted against Trump. Dems could have ran the corpse of RBG and people would have voted for it.

Plus anyone who actually likes him unironically probably isn't even awake that early anyway.

Do you have an alternative link? Looks like this video was removed.

Isn’t the national guard controlled by the states?

Every time I see this I just close the article. But idiots out there defend it saying this is how you do investigative journalism.

Journalists are supposed to lay out the facts and give their sources. They are not supposed to tell you what they believe and hide their sources.

Holy shit, I used to see this woman all the time back when I lived in Chicago 2016-2018. She hangs signs right on the bridge by the metra stop right there.

Want to know what she was hanging before? Bernie signs. She is literally a former BernieBro.
