We need secession, but not because it'll save us war. We're going to either have war, or totalitarianism will fully take root.

Secession of like-minded states will allow people to get organized though, which will be very important before actual violence occurs. It will hopefully also lead to people moving to the states that match their values, make the battle lines clearer.

Here's something everyone can do now.

Contact your local congressman, state reps, city reps, sheriffs, and all elected officials - and if they are conservative tell them they need to go ON RECORD saying they will create a second amendment sanctuary city.

Also tell them, if they are sheriffs, that they need to follow the lead of the Missouri Sheriff who just recently came out and said he will arrest any federal law enforcement who try to seize guns.

We need to be pressuring our local officials to start openly nullifying these laws. The more that come out against it, before a gun grab ever even happens, the less likely it is to occur.

I think most people give a shit because those outside the norm aren't content to just exist outside the norm with the same rights as everyone else - they want complete cultural acceptance when they cut their dicks off and to be treated super-normal.

Also - the notion of "do what you want, individual freedom and individual responsibility is what's important" is a fantasy notion conveyed by libertarians the same way communists fantasize about a communist utopia. Also, yes - many votes are meaningless. A write in vote for your uncle is meaningless. As far as "trans" people, considering the size of their population, as well as their political predilections being liberal already, we can assume the "conservative trans" vote is virtually nothing. So, if you're a movement trying to pick up new voters, or a politician directly trying to target voters, putting time/resources/money into pursuing the "conservative trans" vote would be a complete waste.

So, yes, their vote in the grand scheme is meaningless to pursue. An attempt to not "be offensive to maga trans" is a poison pill - it will not help win anything, and it will piss off the people already here.
