It's funny, and sad, how stuff like this is future tech in sci-fi shows, like Stargate, and think how cool that would actually be. Then as you get older, you realize that all those cool gadgets & tech that are suddenly coming closer to reality don't seem as cool because those in charge simply can't be trusted to not abuse the new tech in order to gain even more control over people's lives.
Oh, how I miss the innocence of dumb, optimistic youth.
Like those on Jan 6 that actively put a stop when they noticed some people starting to break windows and try to warn others about an agitator in the crowd? How well did that work out for them?
I really hate to be a doomer here, but you're operating as if we still have even a semblance of the rule of law, which the last few years should've shown you that we don't.
Why would they? That's not something that happens in the US, we've been rather fortunate & spoiled with the luxury of not having to resolve conflicts through physical force so that idea never crosses their mind & never will until they push someone just far enough that it happens.
That's easy, it's not their money. They're very charitable with other people's money, very stingy with their own. Although, it's not like the right is much better. The choice between the right & the left, is how fast do you want to the boat to sink. Real fast? Go Democrat. Slowly? Go Republican.
I have a very hard time believing this is true, just because as someone that wants to have kids, if that were to happen to me, where I specifically told the hospital to not do "A" but they do it anyway, I honestly don't think I could restrain myself from giving into blind rage and burning those involved, alive.
GOD DAMN GENIUS!
