While I'm not happy with the way the election stuff turned out, I have to say I still love this man! (nohomo) He is the epitome of a great command in chief! He still goes out of his way to support our soldiers. Awesome.
IIRC, gold stuff on the flags represents maritime law. There are a number of theories on this, with most people believing that they represent the American coporation and not The Republic of the United States. Thus when they are used, it's not the Republic, its the Corporated America 'speaking'.
I did some study of this in the mid-90's, some of the information is interesting, but I'm not sure if all the theories are correct as the system seems overly complicated as is more about them adhering to it in an almost religious manner.
Overall, in reality, it doesn't seem to matter to we the peons. Shit laws are going to be made regardless of the flag it's done under, because our government is filled with shit-people.

A part of me still has hope that a miracle will occur tomorrow, however I'm facing the reality that as of noon est, an addled old man who is a puppet of the people really pulling the strings, will be installed as President. It sucks, but we need to face it. Then we need to figure out what to do next.

They are taking their ability to have commerce by dropping them from payment processing and banking. Who knows what is next?
