I don't know if they're locking people up. But they have visited several protestors, even people on this site.
The idea is more to reinforce the idea in the public that there is a scourge of right-wing/white supremacist (their grouping, not mine) terrorism and the FBI is hard at work to stamp it out.
It's more theater meant to do a few things.
They want to terrify people from associating with Trump/the right wing/conservative values/all things white.
They want you to think twice before speaking up on any of those beliefs. Is it worth a visit from the FBI? Your job? Your social media accounts? And so on.
They want to not just deplatform us, but deperson.
And this is why 1/6 was so powerful. Everyone got to see how many of us there actually are.
That is the scariest thing to them. When they gaslight and censor and hide the numbers, they create a fake reality where we don't exist.
When we show up in person, it breaks all of their careful programming and manipulation.
The worst thing we could have done in response to 1/6 is lay down and stay quiet, but that's exactly what happened.
They won.
That guy will turn around and call you a conspiracy theorist too. With a straight face.
And in reality it's not even as bad as what's pictured here in any case.
They have food, beds, medical care.
