this takes heat off of SCOTUS for being the bad cop. Which is a big deal. It shouldn’t be, but - optics are important in these days, even for a decision like this unfortunately. If SCOTUS can show that even the State congress thinks the election was fraudulent - then it’s much easier for SCOTUS to decide the cure.
