So they can’t claim he’s inciting violence as an excuse to remove him. That’s why Twitter is also so intent on cementing an opposite characterization of it.

If Hawley objects to PA as he’s supposed to and they don’t go to extended debate on that tonight, then that gives an idea of maybe what the rhythm will be of the debates. If the debates go on too many days (meaning they don’t cram them all into a couple days) then it goes to the House, which means we will likely win. I don’t know how exactly they decide whether to go into recess or not, but the key point is that the length of time these debates take - in days - is, in my understanding, very important because if you get past a certain date all of a sudden you have a one vote per state situation, which favors GOP. I don’t mean to be handing out hopium - I haven’t been able to get a grasp on whether this is truly going to play out or just more talk.

No coincidence imo it went up, looks fake, and accounts locked ten minutes after.

Each state requires 2 hours of debate, which if I’m not wrong would likely extend debate past the date electoral votes have to be certified, which throws the vote to a 1-per-state House vote. Anything wrong with this plan?

Are they going to be able to push debate past the date that electoral votes need to be counted, to throw it to the house?

The patriots think it’s over. Is it? If not, why are leaders not communicating this?

With the media nonexistent and information coming in from all angles, I really don’t understand what’s going on!

Does Pence hold the sole power to control the electoral count session, and can he extend it over any number of days?

The reason this is important is because if debate goes past five days, the vote goes to the house (one vote per state) and we win (unless Reps go rogue).

So my question is, assuming Pence is on board, can anyone/thing stop him from stretching the debates out over five days?

Anyone know the answer to this? Looking to hear from someone who knows a bit about the procedure, rather than speculation.

Last two months have been a lot of anticipation for many of us. However I think there is good reason a lot of things may come down to the last minute, whether it’s states holding special sessions or whatnot. It’s the same reason a lot of news drops on Friday afternoons - control of the narrative. Last minute means no time for Dem pundits to hit cable news 24/7, shaping the narrative. Last minute means less time to sabotage whatever tactics our guys are still keeping close to their chest. As long as your cards are in order, quick and straight off like a bandaid is sometimes the best way. The Dems have certainly had enough time to get involved in the fraud discussion by now and dispute claims legitimately - they have chosen not to. As for the Dems who had a different vision for this country - their leadership has failed them.

I have read so many things and comments and I am still not 100% sure I know how the process works since I’ve read many conflicting things. Does anyone feel like they have a really good grasp on how this is likely to go down and want to share? Some are saying Pence can (will he?) object to the votes coming from fraud states, and then it goes to a House vote (1 vote per state). This is what I was hearing initially a month or so ago. Now Gohmert is suing Pence and people are saying it will go to 2 hours of debate and both House & Senate have to vote. Still seeking some clarity and would appreciate help.

We have Pence presiding over a session, one Senator and one Rep objecting to votes, alternate slates of electors in every key state, and a one-vote per state system of determining the president in the House (not a normal House vote), in what is a majority-Republican-state body. So what could go wrong? In what scenario does Trump NOT become president? This isn’t meant as a rallying post - I am truly wondering if I’m missing something.

Anyone know how many/which states have at this point?
