As much as I hate google, I'm pretty sure that was just referring to the presidential primary, which the virginia gop decided to allocate all the delegates to Trump at their state convention instead of holding the primary, of course the other primaries for senate, and house are taking place.

they get the results from the Ap, which does not count the votes if there is one person running, like Trump or Sen. Perdue, they instead once the polls close declare them as the winner of the primary and therefore does not seem to need to publish the vote totals.
