No joke I had an employee tell me it was “CPT” and I had to deal with it. This was 15 / 20 or so years ago but yea. We were kinda close too so it was like she was letting me in on a thing and not being mad at me for questioning why they all were constantly late or missing or whatever.
Btw she let me know “CPT” was “colored people time”. .... and of course it was a place with a few unions so I didn’t even start to do shit about it but I did get some compromises because ehh. Was easier. Decent people. Great work ethic most of the time but the “CPT” privilege was obnoxious.
Shit, I have no problems making exceptions for individuals. If they say, hey I have a personal hiccup can I get this, I’d say yes. But the whole “it’s this because I’m black deal with it” was kinda shitty. Again, they didn’t abuse it but the once or twice it was an issue over 5 years at that one facility... it was . I’ll say, eye opening.
