Thank you so much for sharing this. Hearing of people's experiences like yours really help to bolster my faith. I believe God knows each one of us and desperately wants to help us in our darkest moments, and when we humble ourselves before Him and ask for strength, help, clarity, or whatever through prayer, He'll reach out to our hearts and minds through the influence of the Holy Spirit. Grew up in Alabama and am living in Utah now. You are correct in your thoughts about the "Utah Mormon thing." They tend to be a little sensitive here. Bless their hearts.
My 16-year-old daughter said it best. "Well, they wanted a strong female character." Then, she laughed, and we all laughed with her while laughing at those "fans."
