Ashli Babbit, like thousands of others, was accused by some in our government of hooliganism today.
I am sure there were many that believed that the Sons of Liberty, and the likes of Samuel Adams, were merely hooligans partaking in lawlessness, and not following proper channels for the airing of grievances against the King.
Ashli Babbit gave her life today, and I would think Ashli didn't expect for this to happen to her, even though we all like to think so. However, she's not going home all the same, because she chose to act.
Unlike other movements that terrorize communities and attack fellow citizens with differing opinions with the aim of forcing a change in the law, Ashli Babbit and her compatriots focused their efforts on bringing their grievances to the seat of government.
Ashli, along with others, were pushed to act, not to benefit themselves by stealing from businesses or to quench a thirst to inflict damage to private property or people, but because she simply wanted the Constitution to be followed, not to change the law, and the options to correct the perceived wrongdoing in the process, through the courts and state legislatures, are all but closed and time has all but expired.
President Trump MUST recognize Ashli Babbit with an award for her sacrifice and bravery in her attempt to hold Congress accountable to the citizens of our Republic.
As a father to a daughter, the loss of Ashli really hurts. Ashli's not going home alive.

The Suspension Clause of the United States Constitution specifically included the English common law procedure in Article One, Section 9, clause 2, which demands that "The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it."
