Simple, look at Illinois electoral map each election, most of the votes for blue come from cities like Chicago, which are run by democrats, and the people living in those areas assume Democrats have their best interests in mind and refuse to think that democrats are evil.

Hell, the entire state was nearly red in the last election, but because of the immense population of Chicago, whoever votes in Cook Country controls hte votes for the rest of the state. Even though Illinois is full of so many conservatives in the rural area, they're dwarved by the liberals in the small blue areas.

Honestly, most of us just dislike her because she claims to be for Veterans, but her actions with the VA, as well as her actions currently trying to block promotions for over a 1000 people, as well as her saying she wanted to cut BAH, generally is not well accepted in the military community.

Plus shes a democrat from Illinois, I'm originally from Illinois, so I know how shitty they run that state.
