Well thank you for being rational and concerned as a parent. I would expect the same from the other father as well and not offended at all. And over the years, I’ve known many mothers that have verbatim come out and say that they will go to mama bear to make sure their kids are in good hands. Just makes sense to me.

We’re not helicopter parents but we always are aware of what’s going on around us. Situational awareness. I guess ppl are upset bc they think bc I said “I will end them” means that that is how I’d come straight out the gate, which isn’t the case but my resolve is just that. Anybody touches my kid, they’d get hurt, period. I’d expect any parent to do the same, especially the father of a little girl. Whatever, none of these ppl are raising my kid or are responsible for her safety so it really doesn’t matter what they say or how they feel about it to be honest.

I guess it’s just really surprising to me that these ppl that I assume uprooted the OP about a man going to jail for killing his child’s rapist would be so offended about how I would try to prevent that from even happening by taking a strong stance from the get go. Like, they’re ok with what the man did AFTER, but not ok if maybe he did something beforehand. Idk if he did or not. I’d like to think that I’d he didn’t, he wished he had said something before what ultimately happened, happened. That’s where my frustration is, the fact that they’re ok with a man killing his child’s rapist after all the trauma was experienced but not ok with a somewhat preventative measure beforehand. It baffles me.
