This is what happens when you pump a bunch of people through colleges and universities (more appropriately known these days as: degree printing factories) who have zero business attending post-secondary educational institutions...people whose home life and primary and secondary "education" never developed nor nurtured an inclination toward critical thought, but instead amplified the emotional and introduced drivel such as "their truth" or "other ways of knowing."
It's all intentional, though, and very Machiavellian. It's a payoff to the university Leftist activists parading as educators, with the dollars that pay their ridiculous salaries "teaching" in airy fairy made up departments of brain mush funded through 100% government funded student loans...which conveniently burden the hapless students who leaves with degrees as worthless as used toilet paper. They have dismal career possibilities, and will most likely never have a salary that allows them to pay off the debt and maintain any decent standard of living, thereby making them thought slaves to the party that constantly prattles on about student debt forgiveness, and parrot whatever the bobble heads in that party vomit on their party-loyal media outlets.
But, specifically, it is intentional that they provide these people with a piece of paper known as a degree, thereby conferring the idea that they are part of an anointed intelligentsia, however, somewhere deep inside most know that they are in no way deserving of such a designation and thereby suffer from a deep-seated cognitive dissonance when presented with concepts requiring a refined capacity for analysis and synthesis, thereby sending them in to a state of elevated emotion while attempting to parrot what their thought masters have attempted to stuff in their brain boxes.
