Soon after, increasing single-parenthood and wage depression would be used to justify the establishment of the U.S. child support collection system in 1975 (2), and by 1985 the number of single-mother households had doubled (3, 4). In the process, children have been left be behind. Today, only 7% of homes are traditional families with a single income and children (5). Dual-income and single-parents have ultimately abdicated the responsibility of their child's intellectual development to the state.
Some of you may have seen Trump's tweet a few days ago about giving parents education dollars if schools don't re-open (6). Educating a single child at a public school costs over 12 thousand dollars per year, and in many locations, much more (7). This cost is subsidized by homeschooling families. The Home School Legal Defense Association estimates homeschooling your child costs between 300-600 dollars per year, that is less than 5% of the cost of public schooling (8). One of the easiest ways to fix education is to provide families with education credits to spend on an open market. If we want to Make America Great Again, we need to deal with the donkey in the classroom. We need an EBT card for education. Make schools compete for your dollars.

Ps. Spend time with your children and instill a sense of rationality and logic or they won't come out of the public education system unscathed. It's not enough to teach them right and wrong.
