"If we abolish slavery, how will we pick the cotton?" Fast forward today where we have the current digital world.
Taxation is a moral issue. The consequences should never be a concern. The contrast above with the digital world we now live in is a great example of:
- We can't predict the future (they'd never have imagined what we have today)
- Freedom ALWAYS leads to better outcomes through innovation via the free market. If there is a demand for security, it will be filled. And it will be more cost effective.
Dig deeper. The other replies here have rebutted your narrative: It's still disproportionate when normalised for x, y, z factors.
When you do your own research and find that to be true, your next question should be why? The rabbit holes goes deeper than you think.
They had another 30 years left on the deal. China lied (again).

Not even too late, utterly incompetent. My Italian colleague told me, when it was happening, that before they put notheren regions in lockdown (only southern regions at that point), they announced the action on social media.
That then caused a massive exeduse of southerners that live in the north to travel down south: "If I'm gonna be sick, I'd rather be sick next to mama".
The government saves us all, again. /S
Sploosh! I'm so wet right now. 50 Shades of MAGA.
Aside from the ad-hominem, how is this guy getting downvoted for making a property rights argument? Lads, this is what MAGA is all about. You make it, you keep it. Follow the logic here:
-
Monsanto invests (and risks) tons to R&D to make better seeds (go research 'Golden Rice')
-
Monsanto, like any company, must profit from their product to stay alive.
-
Using Monsanto seeds intentionally without their permission, is a violation of their property (intellectual) rights. It's stealing.
-
Saying you can't profit from creating and innovating seeds by default means nobody, including Monsanto, will invest to R&D better seeds.
Now, everyone that downvoted this should take a leaf out of OPs book, and read the book which the user name comes from. Ayn Rand - 'Atlas Shrugged'
Says the guy that's mates with Guac.
