No, i think there are plenty agonising over it.

I just do not think the agony and weight of choice is anything to do with law, responsibility or morality.

They were told Russia collusion was the silver bullet and would absolutely positively sink Trump. That even if he survived to the mid-yerms they would extend their majority in the House and win the majority in the Senate and if tbey timed it right, they could get the Mueller Report just after midterms.

They overestimated themselves and underestimated Trump again.

When they rallied around Joe and turned his misdeed into Trump's issue and started the shampeachment, it was with similar belief in Trump's incompetence and their brillance.

The lies they were told (coupled no doubt with an understanding that impeaching him will send a clear message to constituents that they did achieve something for their two year tenure even if lost time on Russia collusion came to nothing) from House Leadership in safe seats told them this would be glorious and the Republicans would have their wings clipped. They could finally exit Trump. Then they only would have Pence. They could tie Pence to Trump and drag him down. Then Nancy would be next in line.

All so easy. Until it wasn't.

Damned if they do and damned if they don't. They know they are screwed. They don't want to face their constituents. They Republican minority did better than they thought. Even before it gets to the Senate it is clearly partisan and paper thin. It looks like bullshit political games to the public and obviously going to fail. The public will see this as another loss and no achivement.

What else can they placate the public with in justifying their 2 tears in Congress. What to do when Democrat Party bosses who lied to them are telling them to do one thing and potential voters are shaking their heads or waving their fists at the same.

I have no pity. They bought this on themselves

Read the rants. He does not sound bigoted himself does he? That is the cognitive dissonance with these hypocritical Progressives and in their morally righteous fervor they cannot see the hypocrisy right before them.

Sorry, i was not going to post further on this but i think i need to clarify a couple of things.

I was not trying to get anyone to conform to my views or bash Conservatism. My agenda if anything was to show that support of Trump is far from just a majority of Republicans. Many like myself support him for other reasons. It was trying to say, his support is bigger than many say.

On a final point there have been some in comments have tried letting me know how bad the howling authoritarian mobs are. I know this. I am aligned against them.

But i will go one better. In years gone by i was a great believer that there should be an open marketplace of ideas, everyone should have a seat at the table and good iseas win out.

Within the last 10 years Progressives accepted that seat and by threat, censure, deplatforming, intimidation and the like, ejected others out so they could have more seats at the table. Then they refused voices unlike their own at the table. They took over the left. People like myself let that happen. Many became Progressives or supported them in hope they were not similarly attacked or banned from online spaces. Many became Conservative. I didn't but people like me did. Not Conservatives or Progressives but Liberals like me. Its not like i am pretending i don't know the score or shy away from facts.

I don't hate religion. It bothers me not at all if someone finds strength and hope if such things. More power to them. I would not choose to take that from them.

Taqqiya is part of a religious doctrine. I do not take my queue from that.

Hillary is Granny Evil. Not a recent revelation. I have believed it since Whitewater and it is more palpable as years go by. Epstein did not kill himself.

Sorry some crazed nutcase Authoritarians smashed your windows. I am neither authoritarian nor crazed. They are not with me. I have no problem disavowing them

For starters I am not religious. Not NECESSARILY unto itself a Left Right thing. But certainly part of me. I am not anti--abortion. I think not only the rare rape/incest exceptions but also teenage kids who are too immature and stupid to make adult decisions ought not be saddled with adult consequences. After that I get a little uncomfortable with mentally squaring up abortion. I think it should be coupled with regulations, counselling and education and not treated as a form of birth control and with the gravitas of removing someone from life support. (But as I say if I had to chose the open slather abortion on demand up to the time of birth and leaving babies to die if they survive abortion attempts and such....well refer up above as to whether I would back a rational idea I disagree with or a crazy idea) Guns, I am indifferent about. I see both the desire of restrictions and such but also recognise some people wish to defend this right from any restrictions. But the problem again is Progressives do not want to do anything short of banning them all. There is no genuine position there to be had. Gay Rights, I am supportive of them and such but I do not go for the Progressive Stack Cultural Marxism crap. Welfare I am definitely in favour of but I do believe that it should always be to allow people to get back on their feet not to stay off their feet. Tax funding art and artist endevours? Bit of a difficult one. Yes I think thee has to be some amount of this but the problem is like anything, certain people become gate holders and stymie this and suddenly useless avant garde performances or exhibitions by condescending posers and elitist snobs all engaging in pseudo intellectual masturbation is the result.

And so on and so forth.

I am Left leaning but pretty close to Centrist on most positions. I am a LOT closer to Conservatives than I am to mainstream Left and that was not always the case. Certainly within the last 10 years they have move far from me and I have not really changed. I stayed me.

I like those odds. 35% for 7/2 majority? I would take that any day.

I do not want this to be taken the wrong way - I think the_donald was/is a great idea, and has been unfairly abused, and has strong patriotism and loyal servants to the truth BUT....

I think that in starting this out of the unfair control and abuse of the Leftist driven Reddit, can we start to not have kneejerk moderation?

I get rules and I get that rules exist for a reason and have been thought long and hard over and often are of great merit but they sometimes miss the mark or do not take into account unusual exceptions to a general rule.

Example - Ilhan Omar was being.....Ilhan Omar and as such due to campaign finance or screwing or brother or making antisemitic statements a petition was started in Change dot org. I posted a link to that petition and had thread killed on the basis of promoting an an anti-Trump site.

Clear that was not what I was doing and so I questioned this and was told to follow the rules and so on.

It was stupid. Clearly regardless of the merits or not of Change dot org that seemed a pretty good petition. It was not promoting a bad site it was promoting a good cause. Kneejerk moderation from a moderator being a jerk. Perhaps under too much pressure or feeling a little too raw to be reasonable.

I think we could be a little looser here and as much fun without the threats or the tamping down from spez. I think this could be beautiful. I just think better moderation could make it better. I do not condone everyone running roughshod over rules but just for the rules and the enforcement being rational, sensible and fair.

MAGA.
