I'm not an economist, but I believe there's a "rule"/math proof that 17% is the "ideal" number for taxes anyways. Just below the threshold to really be detrimental, but below the threshold where paying huge sums to lawyers and accountants to get you out of paying becomes less ideal. Therefore, collection becomes cheaper and there's more collected versus wasted in overhead. Personally, I think 0 is the ideal number followed closely by the Godfather Pizza 9-9-9 plan.

True. History has shown us though, that the German people are easily swayed unto chaos and their "precision engines" are tailored to destruction. We don't know what will happen, but we do know what has happened. Even as a force for good, Germany should be treading lightly on the worlds stage, not conquering Europe. For sure, but it wasn't long ago, that there was some serious animosity. Now-a-days, few care and its just tradition and funny, but for AGES it was serious. And none of the conflict, even the 100 years war was anything close to world war 1, let alone world war 2.
