This joke/analogy is beyond retarded...

Your immune system cannot protect your against kinetic force, but it can protect you against biological agents.

Yes, chihuahuas are evil incarnate.

Out of curiosity, what vaccine did you get jabbed with (Pfeizer, Astra, Moderna, etc.) if you know? And what side effects did you get.

I have five people in extended family that got jabbed with Pfeizer, no side effects.

Nah, he can remain agnostic or atheistic or whatever he wants to be.

One can find divinity is anything. Him seeing it in mathematics, the pure truth of the universe, is no less valid that you seeing it in God.

Strange, you would imagine rolling would be more energy efficient.

Sith are clear demonstration of why absolute anarchy and pure "might makes right" does not work.

Yes, they are technically speaking free, but in obsession to get more and more, they backstab and betray each other.

Jedi are often clear example of taking dogma into literally extreme end, which it is not supposed to be taken.

Following the Code should not resctrict you from having friends and emotions, but putting the bigger picture first always (even Obi-wan implies this with his feeling for Satine).

If you have choice between $100 tuition for your kid, and raise of $100, from which you might see like $20 after all the taxes and what not, tuition seems like a better deal.

Also, does not specify what kind of tuition. Could be for private high school. Even if it was for college, there still are some useful field of study.

Communists love to play pretend democracy.

Here in Czechia, when we were still under Soviet occupation, we had "free" elections every 4 years, but there was only one party to vote for, and going behind a curtain to put the paper ballot into envelope was instant black mark against you.

Eh, aside from the CGI-crapfest that was the final fight, it was pretty good.

And let's keep in mind, Black Panther is heavy proponent of Walls, Independence, military, and letting people solve problems in their own homes first, rather than inviting them all to Wakanda

Cropped, I presume.

Otherwise, the poll would be utter crap

I did help to push for more acceptance of remote work and e-government.

I imagine a lot of the remote work tolerance will drop once the lockdowns are over.

The piss analogy does make some common sense though.

But of course, some of the idiots have actually started to believe in miasmic theory again, so you know, don't expect much logic there

Wear a full gasmask. If it is good enough to protect against mustard gas, I am sure it is fine for COVID as well.

Who is forcing them to go to the store?

Pretty sure Walmart can delivery your daily soy supplement even in Texas.

AirBnB here is extremely shady, people are (or were, before COVID lockdowns basically trashed the entire hospitality industry) basically running it like a hotel without needing to meet any of the legal requirements placed on hotels (sort of like Uber is basically running a taxi service without meeting any of the requirements regular taxi drivers need to)

No idea why the lack of zoning is happening though, though we do not really have that much "free land" like in US, so a lot of it cannot be zoned because it needs to be kept for agriculture, etc. But yeah, ecoterrorists are a bit problem when trying to build anything, so that might be a factor.

I have not, sitcoms are not really something I keep tabs on.

I started watching TBBT because of the pop-culture humor, and B99 because of all the hilarious memes that show spawned.

Here in Europe, a lot of "damage" was done by boom of AirBnB and similar services. People with free cash bought up all the apartments, and were leasing them out through these services (sort of undermining the whole original idea of it, just like with Uber).

You don't even see any "rehabing" going on.

But of course, the absence of new constructions or zoning for residential plots is where the problem is as well

Oh absolutely, Arrow went so downhill people started calling it "Felicity and Friends, featuring Arrow". And Flash really went downhill as well by introducing all the assorted extra Flashes.

However, sadly kinda typical for CW show. they manage to screw stuff up after season or two at best, somehow (people blame writing crunch, no idea how true that is).

I am not really sure if the lack of joy and attempt to be overly real are part of any propaganda, or just Hollywood trying to recapture the amazing success of Nolan's Batman trilogy, which affected superhero movies quite heavily, especially those based on DC comics (Marvel adaptations are more lighthearted)

Admittedly, they went quite a bit overboard with slapstick in Far From Home, some scenes are definitely crossing the border from funny to eyerolling.

Though you never really could blame Spider-man in comics to be overly serious character in most of his runs (not counting the newer ones where they often pair him up with Deadpool, because compared to Deadpool, everybody is serious)

However, I think some level of being hapless is part of being a 17 (or early 18 in FFH, I think) year old.

And I am curious to see how they will handle the movie version being thrown at mercy of lying media spinning him as utter monster in No Way Home.
