I find that people are more willing to strike up a conversation with me now than pre covid days. I always have a big smile on my face and can see other people trying to smile back at me through their masks. The one thing I can't pick up on are the scowls and frowns that I'm sure there are more of than I'm aware. Anyway I just wanted to share me experience and observation that the masks seem to, well mask the ugliness of people but somehow the kindness and happiness of people shines through regardless. Take off the masks and lead by example. It's not easy for some but you might be surprised with the kindness and friendliness you encounter. Many people want to break free and just need encouragement.
When Trump announced his candidacy there was initially skepticism a bit of mockery and fairly lightheartedness coverage I believe. Trump was universally adored by most in the nation. Until the seriousness of his contention for the White House that is. It took the full force of media, big tech and politicians on both sides to incite hatred and animosity for him. Biden on the other hand has been able to achieve overwhelming opposition and hatred towards him without even having to leave the basement. There's something to be said that nonchalant raw and awesome power.
