Just because someone is democrat doesn’t mean they’re cucked. I consider myself liberal but liberal doesn’t mean you like pedophile politicians or think drag queen story time is okay. I like Trump because he makes me money. I love money. I also think people should stay in their lane and not force others to do things they don’t like.
Before rona did you know Austin had a unemployment rate of less than 2%? Basically if you wanted to work, you did. Did you also know that Austin has very high wages compared to the cost of living? Even basic receptionist positions start at 45-50k. The average wage here is 60k and you can buy a brand new home in the burbs 15 min drive from city center for 200k. The city culture is that we don’t accept low pay. There’s an overwhelming abundance of work here. We name our price. Hell, starting pay at a gas station is $15/hr.
Austin is weird. Austin is liberal. But we are still Texas. We love guns. We love money. We love boobs. Don’t let the minority voice of shitholes like /r/Austin make you think that’s how the city is. Must of those idiots don’t even live in Austin. That sub doesn’t represent the city. Sure we are blue but for different reasons. The city is blue because we don’t like to be told what to do, but unfortunately we always end up voting in tyrannical assholes that try to tell us what to do. We just don’t listen to them. I was drinking at bars getting my hair cut at salons this whole shutdown. The difference between blue Austin and red Dallas? The cops don’t enforce shutdown here because they believe we should be free to express ourselves. Not one single ticket or fine has been issued here. Parks closed? lol people just walk over the barricades and have picnics and play volleyball. Austin is more free than anywhere else in Texas.
You have to live here to really understand what this city is about. Oh, and we all hate Californians.
Austin here. Don't let the news fool ya. Nobody is cucked in Austin. I was drinking at bars downtown the whole time during shutdown. The cops refuse to enforce the rules Adler makes. We've been throwing apartment parties, swimming in pools, playing volleyball at the parks they are "closed". I got my haircut at a salon.
Over at /r/austin they shadowban anyone making posts of people acting normal and not afraid. The same rules apply, all fake news. You only get told what they want you to hear.
For every 1% of worker aged adults that are unemployed, there will be 1500 deaths.
So, that meas today with a 20% unemployment rate in the USA, 30,000 Americans will die. The unemployment rate in Jan. was 3.5% or an average of 5250 deaths. So, just in the USA, as of right now... 24,750 Americans will die because of shelter at home in 2020.
We know that shelter at home does not reduce the death rates of COVID-19, so those are an additional 24,750 people in the USA that will die for nothing.
Police ain't doing shit. The only people threatening are faggots with 311 on redial and 311 don't give two fucks. /r/austin had a melt down this weekend because a family was having a picnic outside at a park downtown, at least no less than 20 311 reports on the map... and cops never came.
I'm a photographer, I shoot downtown and wave at the cops as they drive by creepin.
You should head over to /r/austin. That sub has turned into the central reporting station for the gestapo. It's sad and comical. There was a front page post last weekend with people going into full autism rage because a family was having a picnic at a park and they kept calling 311 and the police never went to break it up. Reading the replies I was for sure some autistic madman was going to go shoot them up they were so angry people were acting normal.
I'm a local photographer and I never stopped doing shoots in public places. Sometimes the cops stroll by and give me dirty looks. I just wave and continue taking photos of clients.
Incorrect. He does have the authority to end CHAZ in about 30 seconds.
