So how will most people 60 and up handle muscle pain, body aches, fevers, shaking and chills? Especially if they have pre-existing medical conditions? Could those side effects in some cases be deadly to people in poor health?
I don't have power and it's freezing out. I'd be really cold if I hadn't spray foamed my house.
My water pipes are all pex, so the one that froze that was too close to an exterior wall is fine.
A lot of people have poorly insulated houses though and pvc water pipes that could burst, so could be pretty bad for houses like that.
I've only lived in this house for a year, so I don't have everything completely set up for this, don't even have a generator.
I do have solar panels, an inverter powerful enough to power al most of my house and some pretty big batteries... But they are all sitting in my garage because I haven't got around to setting it all up yet. Oh well, I can go a few days without house power. But this is going to kill some older people that aren't prepared. Previous Texas freeze, we've always seemed to keep electricity, but now it's out and a while lot of people don't have non-electrical means to keep warm
So for some people, it won't be bad at all, but for others it will be catastrophic.
Isn't insulin used to remove sugar from the blood?
