I am from NZ, we locked down for a month, my barber had to increase his prices by 25% because as he told me, sure, the govt paid his workers for the time off but the loss of business, rent, power, etc on the business absolutely killed his savings. And thats just a barber, with non perishables. Something like a restaurant with lost products as well, they are fucked. A local greengrocer who had been here 20 years almost went bankrupt since his 3 outlets had to throw away all their produce and even after our lockdown ended, there were too many dead restaurants that he could no longer sell to that he couldn't recoup his losses and had to sell 2 of his outlets for next to nothing and lay off the staff.
And that was only a 30 day lock down.
I have no doubt that with the suicides and ongoing suicides and substance abuse issues resulting from this shit, that the lockdown death toll will dwarf the deaths from the commie cough. Chinas govt and every politician who supported lock downs deserves to hang from the fucking street lights.
