I read what you linked and there is nothing in there about editing the Bible. In fact, in the section immediately following the one you linked titled "Misconceptions," it states:

There is no record of any discussion of the biblical canon at the Council.[77] The development of the biblical canon was nearly complete (with exceptions known as the Antilegomena, written texts whose authenticity or value is disputed) by the time the Muratorian fragment was written.[78]

Where is the evidence of editing?

Diocletian was executing Christians by the thousands just twenty years before Constantine took power, but somehow Christians and/or kings were calmly editing texts throughout the Roman empire, and somehow these texts were able to be edited everywhere in all locations in the Roman empire, at the same time, without any Christians noticing the changes?

The Council of Nicea was not an obscure event in history. We have extensive records of the proceedings written by those who were actually there: Eusebius of Caesarea and Athanasius, deacon of Alexandria. Two things stand out. First, no one at Nicaea considered Jesus to be a mere mortal, not even Arius, whose errant views made the council necessary. Everyone in the discussion believed Jesus was the Son of God. What they disagreed on was on what that title meant. Consequently, the question of Christ's deity (His equality with or subordination to the Father) was the reason for the council, not merely the result of it.

After a pitched debate, the final vote wasn't close at all; it was a landslide. Of 318 bishops, only 2---the Egyptians Theonas and Secundus---refused to concur. The council affirmed what had been taught since the beginning. Jesus was not a mere man; he was God the Son.

I ask again, where is the evidence of editing? Please keep in mind that I am asking sincerely, not to spite you or to one-up you, but to try to share with you what I've learned regarding the facts. I only want you to confront establish fact that is corroborated starting with the records we have of the council of Nicea. There was no editing at Nicea, of the thousands of manuscripts of the New Testament already in existence at the time of Nicea that were already spread throughout the Roman empire. Given the thousands of copies we have from that time and from thereafter, and given that they concur, where is this evidence of editing? Isn't it more reasonable to conclude from the evidence that the New Testament has not been edited?

Have you got some corroborating evidence to back up your assertion that it was edited by kings? I'm genuinely curious. Who were the kings that edited it? When did they edit it? Did they edit the Tanakh, and then the New Testament, the New Testament followed by the Tanakh, or did they edit both at once? How were these edits able to succeed given that Christianity spread far and wide early on per non-Christian Roman Senator and Consul Cornelius Tacitus' account in his Annals that at the time of the Great Fire in AD64, there were many Christians in Rome already (He uses the Latin phrase multitudo ingens or "vast multitude.") Christianity had spread a long way early on, since the distance, as the crow flies, between Jerusalem and Rome is around 2,300 kilometers or 1,430 miles, greater than the distance between NYC and Havana. If the Bible was edited later, how did Christianity prove so popular in the first place? How did people who adhered to a version of Christianity without the editing, later come to adopt the edited beliefs, given that the "later" edits has to be accepted by Christians already spread throughout the Roman empire?

I'd sincerely be interested in hearing your answers to some of these questions. By the way, if you're interested in an objective take on the facts regarding some of the questions above, using evidence from many non-Christian sources (Tacitus named above, Pliny the Younger, Trajan, and Flavius Josephus just to name a few), check out the short book "Can we trust the Gospels by Peter J. Willams. It's about 120 pages of as-objective-as-you-can-get evidence that I think merits consideration.
