There's been a mass exodus from the dept this year. Guys who were planning on doing 25 or 30 years because they had a "cushy gig," are even leaving bc they also had to go out for the riots. We have a mayor election next year but I'm afraid it will be more of the same.

Which is why our PBA and SBA union reps told us don't arrest them unless someone from the DA's office and a supervisor from the legal bureau is there telling you to do that. Basically saying you can try to convince people to do stuff but don't arrest people for this bullshit. Cuomo probably isn't aware that we have an NYS Penal code 245.10 that basically says people can't wear masks in public. Honestly we try to use discretion when we can.
