Decided to see it for myself...they are straight-up killing people. Post-COVID elderly are dying just hours after the vaccine. Here

If anyone thinks for a second that the Govt would not do that, ask the millions of Texans who froze in their homes because the Feds would not allow more power stations to come online due to carbon regulations.

It was an intentional punishment for Texans and our weak Gov. Abbot failed to throw off the Federal shackles and do what is right for Texas.

A long-time friend, who is one of the smartest people I know, is fine with wearing a mask now. He is even buying the new Razor mask because he thinks it looks cool.

It was heartbreaking to hear, still makes me sad.

Currently digging through all online reference documentation, removing any reference of a "Wireless Access Point" as a "WAP"...ugh

My apologies to the OP for thinking this is a BS post... but they are correct. The FDA "Fact Sheets" each says...

"There is no U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved vaccine to prevent COVID-19"

Pfitzer Fact Sheets

Moderna Fact Sheets

Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) Fact Sheets

The wind farms are not the only issue, win is only 25% of the generation in TX and with 50% offline, still leaves 87% available. With 75% of the generation in TX based on coal, gas, and nuclear you would assume they could increase capacity if they can't, that's a failure.

The issues are choke points in the infrastructure. Utilities go cheap on core electrical and gas lines (and the cities let them), making them "just enough" to handle the normal load. When a super event happens, they cannot keep up.

My housing tract has never lost power/gas but the one next to us has low gas pressure because the feeds are under-built. The rolling blackouts are hitting problematic areas, not everywhere in TX.

I hope this opens some eyes that without reliable storage technologies, renewables are just the garnish on the edge of the plate.

Ok...after the kiln-dried white wood burns out in 60 seconds...then what?

I hear stories of unprotected water lines bursting and damaging generating equipment, heavy load causes poorly maintained equipment to fail (+ lack of spares), as well as poorly designed layouts creating choke points for electric and gas flows.

It's like Puerto Rico, it takes a major weather event to show the corruption of our energy grid...

Maybe we need to add Hunter Biden to the Energy board, he seems to know his stuff.../s

I agree, with 75% of our power generation from Gas, Coal, and Nuclear we should be able to turn up the dial to account for Wind Turbine failures. The fact that they cannot, is a dereliction of duty IMO.

With 2% solar and 23% wind production, Texas lost 25% of its normal generating capacity. I assume that Gas, Coal, and Nuclear will just turn the dial to 11 to get us through the week. Energy diversity is our strength.

This was a 100-year weather event, so it is not surprising, but losing power is nothing new in Texas. With Hurricanes, Severe Storms, and Tornadoes, we are used to minor interruptions.

If you are unprepared for severe weather in Texas, you should move back to California...
