Bolshevism comes from the Russian word "большинство" which means "majority," versus menshevik (меньшинство) which is "minority." It's referring to the majority party representation in their congress. I think you're looking too much into it with "better, greater." America has senate majority and minority too, for example.
Not owning physical copies of books, films, music etc is really stupid imo. AT LEAST get file copies of them on a big drive. Tomorrow you'll go to read a book or listen to a song and find out it was removed due to muh racism or LGBT whatever.
As a Ukrainian I don't know where you get your info but it's ridiculous. Ukrainians go to Russia by the millions to work and live, many never come back. Russians aren't coming to Ukraine to do that. They may immigrate to western Europe or the US but certainly not Ukraine. Only exceptions are some political grifters who make careers in Ukraine out of shitting on Russia but that's like 20 people.
I disagree completely. I grew up in a large Eastern European city (think over 4 million people). I never feared walking home from school, going out, taking public transport etc, as a girl. The only common crime was petty: some pickpockets, gypsy vagrants harassing people. Most people were very poor but we had no ghettos and no "bad neighborhoods" you had to completely avoid due to your skin color. I also have relatives in Moscow so i visit frequently and never have a problem. I now live close to NYC. I avoid going there at all costs because of how shit it is. I don't even go to smaller cities in the area because they're not much better. Maybe you're enamored by NYC of the past when Giuliani was still cracking some skulls but it's gone way downhill, just like most other metro areas in America.
Exactly. In Connecticut there are many multi-million dollar homes with BLM signs outside, in all white towns too. I hate NIMBY types so much. They don't even live or work with blacks and their kids go to all white schools.
I've literally had doctors and PAs google stuff in an appointment. I can do that myself without paying extortionate rates. Tbh my husband and I only pay for major injury coverage and do most medical "upkeep" abroad because it's cheaper and I know those doctors personally. My dentist abroad treats us using new Japanese equipment and European materials for a fraction of what dentists charge in the US. And she doesn't push unnecessary procedures to make money. My husband was told by an American doctor he needed to have all his wisdom teeth pulled ASAP. For the low low price of 7-8k with insurance. 6 years later those teeth are still there, not bothering him one bit.
This is why I just can't force to be a "fan" of anybody anymore because people will inevitably disappoint you. If I enjoy something an artist does I leave it at that. But frankly, with how disgusting most celebrities are I cannot even appreciate much modern art anymore without a guttural physical repulsion. I'm so glad classical art exists and I have NO idea about Tchaikovsky's or Rembrandt's stance on BLM or feminism.
Neither is crime. I grew up in a large city in a 3rd world country. Never afraid to walk home from school, crime was low etc. American cities are far more wealthy and far less safe and we all know why. Even those of us who refuse to acknowledge it.
