I have had my ear full from having to do proper comms for FAA tower to aircraft transmission. As a mechanic its something they don't teach you and when I had to do an engine run after an oil change or speak with a Capt flying somewhere as a maintenance controller I didn't know the proper language and just spoke like I was on the phone.
