I am doing mountains of prep. I have also seen call outs for people driving in to bring extra for others in case people get caught off guard without hotels and food/water. Can't hurt to be prepared.
I saw some guys talking about an island type area to the south of the White House that they were going to occupy and camp at, park their cars and everything. I hear a lot of talk about camping. I am halfway prepared to camp because I can't be sure they won't cancel the hotels.

there are several places like stop the steal.com but not one single place, that I know of. The only rule appears to be Don't Stay Near BLM Plaza. And don't stay very far east of the supreme court area. I am staying at he Grand Hyatt, has a metro rail in its lobby, apparently.
