I lived there. The crime is breathtaking. The corruption is just as bad. I have countless stories of brazen crime. To be fair, it’s been super corrupt since it was founded. You’ll never see poverty and illiteracy at the levels seen in Nola. It’s still the most interesting city in America. The music, food, history, architecture, cultures, visitors, smells.... I miss it but realized it felt really good not to be nervous at an ATM or going down a dark street alone in the quarter. Now I live in a small midwestern town that is clean and safe. Won’t ever go back.
In 2008 the Ron Paul campaign made a huge splash in republican politics. Ron was the only anti war candidate. He was against the Iraq war and was for freedom. He could explain how freedom worked better than anyone I’d ever heard.
The media abused him. The party cold shouldered him. The libertarian internet at that time broke records for him. We were so mad at the system for the way they treated Ron Paul that we started a Tea Party that sent a huge wave of republican leadership that espoused the philosophies of Ron Paul. Rand, Cruz, Rubio and a slew of others in 2010.
My suggestion is our focus start right now on 2022. We can send some awesome republicans to reinforce President Trump. We can change the party and lead the country. Ron Paul says the freedom message brings us together, it doesn’t divide us. The restoration of our rights under a Trump presidency could usher in a time of peace, wealth and security.
Ima fuck u up if i see u homie. Calling people racist gets your teeth knocked out where I’m from.
