The ONLY thing to stop the Hong Kong protests was the pandemic. It was huge international news for months. Megacorporations, sports leagues, athletes, Hollywood, celebrities, politicians all finally had to start confronting where they stood on social justice and the Chinese government abusing human rights. They all looked like huge fucking hypocrites for spouting SJW bullshit in America but accepting lucrative business deals and chasing Chinese money. Nothing was slowing down the protests, and then, bam, Covid outbreak. China starts disappearing any doctors in their country or journalists that tried to report on it. And basically overnight, the Hong Kong protests dissipated. Hong Kong lost. China won. NBA/NFL go back to kneeling, the entertainment industry and every giant corporation goes back to pushing BLM. The rest of the world locks down and fucks up its own economy. It's all so convenient for China.

hmm I'm not sure how many people this actually applies to. If anything I became more "conservative" the more the left pushes and pushes their lunacy just as a counter measure.
