When I talk to people who weren't hippies, druggies, or left-wingers from that era they in hushed tones tell me "you know, Nixon wasn't actually that bad, I actually liked him". It reminds me of how it can be hard for people to admit they like Trump in mixed company. This alone makes my view of Nixon at least a net positive.

Being LGBT is a ticket into the preferred class, so a weak-minded fraction of young people are adopting it aside from the approximately 3% who are indeed legitimate homosexuals. No more being accused of "racism", "sexism", or "homophobia" for expressing perfectly reasonable thoughts. If life hands you any difficulty, you get to claim discrimination and it can be a substitute for having a personality especially when paired with purple hair dye. It's the way to go if you aren't prepared to become "trans-racial".

I notice when people talk about unarmed Blacks being shot by police, they never specify which ones were unarmed AND nonviolent. If a Black had tackled you and punched you with his fists, so you pull out your gun and shoot in self-defense, you'd be "guilty" of shooting an unarmed Black man. Yet you would be morally and legally justified in doing so.

I can't remember the last time I saw a teenager working a fast food job. If you live in a city or even most suburbs, the teenage burger flipper hasn't been around in a long time. Those jobs have been the domain of single mothers, unskilled immigrants, and high school dropouts. They are attempting to use these jobs to do things that these jobs were never intended to do: pay rent, feed a family, and provide for a retirement.
These were jobs meant to help new workers build a work history and learn basic workplace skills (i.e. timeliness, team work, and discipline) which would allow them to transition to better jobs within a short period of time. Apparently, lots of millennials who scream about "adulting" could use some time in these jobs.
